So today little Karma - 4 years old - one I didn't think would ever take to any new food (so I wasn't even trying lest she put a chilling effect on the babies) took several bites and went to the kill box. Good grief! My husband is a good cook!

(dance) Yaaay! That's awesome! So are all 3 eating the raw purée then? If so, work on lowering the spoon to the bowl until they will willingly eat from the bowl on their own.

They are all three eating willingly out of the bowl last night. I put the leftovers in their bedroom with some hot water stirred in and when I left Karma and D'Artagnan were eating out of the bowl together. I am amazed.

What good brothers! They will even share the kill box. I wouldn't have thought they would both fit.

Woooo!!!! :boing: That's awesome! As long as they are all willingly eating it, I would remove kibble entirely and give them just the soup. Congrats!! They are now eating a raw diet! This is a HUGE step! Now to move towards slivers and chunks! Start by cutting several small slivers (like the end of your fingernail) of each type of meat (liver, heart, muscle), and mixing it into the soup. (Before you make the slivers you can try offering each of them a bigger piece and see what they think - it never hurts to skip steps!) If they take the soup with slivers mixed in without trouble, increase the amount of slivers the next meal, then increase size. You may have to finger feed a few slivers for a few saya to get them to try them, but with how well they took to soup I'm crossing my fingers they take the slivers just as easily!!

For the babies (that would be D'Artagnan and Athos) I was thinking because they had day-old chicks when they were very young that has made it easy to move them to raw. I am at a loss to explain Karma.

I am at a loss to explain Karma. Karma saw the boys eating and didn't want to be left out! Sometimes (not always lol), having a good example to lead the way helps. Haha
