Also I see you have a kitten and you are trying to get her switched over? Let's get her on this thread too Yes, I would like her to be on total raw also. She is a lot easier though, because she will eat almost anything. She has been eating meat for dinner for about a month now. She is weird though. She won't eat the hearts, but she will eat it ground up with the chicken. She gets the leftover soupies from the ferrets, and if I leave it in their cage, she is usually in there eating it instead of them, so I try to only leave it in there if she is sleeping or they are in the locked cage.

Just gave Wolf a third feeding. So, I'm guessing he ate about 1/2 ounce today Going to strive for more tomorrow(for both of them of course). I didn't see Wolf eating his kibble at all for the last 8 hours One thing I just thought about while I was feeding Sophie, is that she seems to eat less often, in general. I think she eats more at a time, but less often...That might be something to think about to help change her too, but we will see how it goes tomorrow with the kibble added.

So Wolf at a 1/2 ounces today? How much is Sophie eating? Is she eating it willingly the raw willingly off your finger once you get her to taste it? Or where is she at? Just trying to make sure I have everything in order.

She has kibble in her bowl all the time. She gets meat( usually whatever we have for dinner) while we are eating. Sometimes I'll give her meat or eggs during the day if I'm having it. And she gets her treats in the afternoon. Sometimes she will get extra meat if she annoys us enough. And when I make the ferrets food I will give her some of the meat. I make it every other day. Then, she gets whatever leftovers during the day that they didn't eat from the soup. She occasionally helps herself to the ferret food(kibble... And raw) but like I said I don't like giving them it in their cage when she is awake or they are running around. I could probably straight switch her because she is about 1/2 raw 1/2 kibble, but when I'm not home, I want her to have something to eat if she is hungry.

Once I get Sophie to take the first lick(which takes a min cuz she refuses) then she will eat that willingly. I hold them to feed them.

How I feed my ferrets is basically I feed twice daily. For example if I feed at 12 in the afternoon my bunch usually eats 8 Oz or so. So I feed 8 Oz or a little bit extra so that by 12 in the morning there is only going to be a little left in the bowl. Makes sense? You can do this with the cat especially being a baby.

So this switch thread is extremely all over the place. I would like to get this organized so I have info on your ferrets and cat correctly. For Sophie, how much is she eating in one day?(raw only) how are you feeding her? Is she refusing raw completely? Or is she just being difficult the first time you introduce the raw and she accepts it and licks off your finger? For Wolf, how much is he eating in one day (raw only)? How are you feeding him? How does he do when you present him with the raw soupie? Has he eaten from your finger? What about the spoon? For your kitten, what you have stated for feeding for her it sounds like it needs some work. Can you explain to me what dinner meats you are feeding her along with how much raw she is actually eating and if she is eating any bone in meals. If you can make out a menu for her(the kitten) if you want. Example: Sunday AM: she ate a chicken wing Sunday PM: she had organs And then repeat with Monday and Tuesday etc. This way I know exactly what is going on with each ferret. I think you and I go back and forth so much info gets lost. This way I have it in one spot and I can give you the correct advice for each ferret and even the kitten Always remember we are a team trying to get your babies on the healthiest diet you know like partners in crime hahahah

Sophie~eats about.2 oz of soupies per day off my finger. She is refusing at first, but once she finally gets a taste, she will eat a little. Refuses spoon Wolf~eats About 1/2 ounce soupies per day off my finger. He has no problems eating it. Refuses spoon. Princess ~ eats 1/2 ounce raw and soupies total. The only time she is getting bone is when she gets the egg shell in the soupies. I have tried bones and she just eats the meat.

For Sophie and wolf once they get a taste off your finger put some soup in the spoon and put it to their lips. Like almost wipe some on their lips. It makes them lick their lips then they associates the spoon with the soup. For your kitten (what's her name?) Can you list off the proteins she is eating? Ie beef, chicken, pork.

I did the spoon today. Wolf took it better than Sophie. I didn't wake up early enough to feed her first. She was eating when I woke up, and hasn't ate much since. Wolf has almost ate all of his 1/2 ounce. He is going to finish it once he wakes up. Princess(kitten) eats chicken pieces, turkey(ground and pieces), small amount of beef liver, a little fish, hamburger

You are taking kibble away 3 hours before feeding the raw soup right?
When do you feed them the raw? Like what time of day do you do hand feed them? How many times during the day do you do so?

Yes, taking the kibble away before hand. I feed them about 11 and then whenever they wake up after that. I feel like Sophie is losing weight, so I am going to stop trying to feed her raw for a little while and just work on Wolf. She hasn't eaten since 9 am besides a little bit of the kibble raw mix I made.

Also Wolf hasn't had any kibble since before 830am All raw. He is going to finish his half ounce once he wakes up before he goes to bed.

She hasn't eaten since 9 am besides a little bit of the kibble raw mix I made. Have you weighed her? Let's grind down her kibble mix with water then add raw. So say you grind down .75 of an oz of kibble add water and mix it then put .25 oz of the raw soup. Mix those together and feed her that way
