I will! Today I fed them their soups in the cage. I made each ferret 1.9 ounces of grinds & some salmon oil. Jazmine ate half of it in the cage. When I took it out and put it on the floor, she ate the other half with just a couple little bits left over.
Jaxson only ate .5 ounces and went to bed. He has been quite sleepy these past few days. I will try to hand feed him some more when he wakes up later.
Edit: He just woke up and ate .4 ounces more, and back to bed.

Hey Hey! I'm back! Sorry for being away so suddenly. Had a loss in the family and started school. (I'm doing alright though, so no worries! ) I'm glad that Katt watched the transition while I was away. I'm so happy to hear the current progress and the fact both have had their implant done. Yay! Great Job!! How is Jaz and Jax going today~

Yay! Sorry to hear that, but I am glad that you're back and doing alright!
Anyways, over the past few days we've gotten into a schedule where I will replace the kibble in the cage with 4 ounces of chicken mince for 7-8 hours. I separate the 4 ounces into 2 bowls - 2 ounces and 2 ounces.
As soon as I put the bowls in the cage, Jazmine will eat most of, if not all, of one bowl. Jaxson will only eat about a quarter. I've seen Jazmine go back for seconds after a couple hours of play or sleep. She'll finish off the bowl she started with and sometimes even eat what was in Jaxson's. I have yet to see Jax go back for seconds. But maybe I just haven't been home to see it.
Usually at the end of the day, there is .3 - .5 ounces leftover from the original 4 ounces but I can't really say who's eating how much.

That is really great progress! Even with some left over, each sound like they have eaten their fill. I'm super impressed with Jazmine, great job!

Today really surprised me! I put 1.5 ounces in each dish (I have to start weighing the cubes out before I defrost them - I always make too little or too much than my estimated 4 ounces, lol). He ate his whole bowl of 1.5 ounces, while Jazmine only ate about .5 ounces. Don't think she was too hungry when we did soup today (I wasn't able to leave it in the cage all day today).

Are they eating more on their own now when you're not around? ^^ If Jax is eating all of his, then you could probably give him some more and see how he goes. Between the two of them, I think they're doing great. How are their energy levels~?

I don't know what happened today. I put 4 ounces of mince in the cage at 3 pm while they were both sleeping. I dribbled 1/4 tsp. salmon oil over it. I just got back from work (11 pm) and there will still A LOT left. I thought at first no one ate anything. Just weighed it out though and an ounce is missing. I feel like 1 ounce between two ferrets for 8 hours is too little. What should I do? Their energy levels vary day by day, but generally I'd say a little bit of a decrease for Jax and increasing for Jazmine.

Don't stress. Sometimes you will get down days in transitions where you have little to no progress. It will get better. ^^ In these times if it cannot be helped, then just give them the kibble and try again the next day. If you are home, you can do hand feeding instead and keep trying that way. ^^

Okay! The past couple of days I have been handfeeding. The next couple of days I will leave the soup in the cage but when I have classes because I come back home throughout the day and at least that way I can check on them.

Sorry about mine too! I have been so busy with school!!!
It's going good. Right now I am still hand feeding them because I have been so nervous to leave them alone with it! Once I hand feed them it they'll eat most of it on their own. I just have to give them that "push".
Jaxson is still only eating about an ounce for a meal. I keep trying to get him to eat more. I'm just surprised still that Jazmine is out eating him by so much!
Just ran out of chicken soupies. The store isn't open until Monday so I think tomorrow we are going to try the turkey or lamb mince. I know I haven't had a lesson about food sensitivities, but what are some symptoms of allergic reactions just so I can keep my eyes out?
