I finally was able to get all my stuff around and make my first batch of soup! I really hope this looks alright I am so so new to this. I weighed everything out and blended up as fine as i could. Tonight 1/11/2017 7:32 pm I put 1/4 cup in his bowl (I think I did to much?) and he took right to it! ate about a tablespoon and a half so far! now do I just leave what he hasn't eaten out for him? I also had to put him in his little playpen as he was a tad distracted haha! I hope I set this up ok... if i am missing something please let me know so i can fix it I am sooo excited! (last one is a happy cuddly baby)

Awesome! It looks like he is eating the soupie at the consistency of pudding did he eat all of that soupie? I would also start weighing his food instead of using cups it's much easier when you start organ meals and different proteins to know how many oz he eats per meal so it stays balanced

Is it alright for it to have a pudding consistency?
Yea I realized the oz after seeing someone mention males eating 3-7oz a day. So I will get on that at tomorrow mornings feeding. How many ounces should I start for him?
Edit: no he didn't but he did eat I would say another half a tablespoon. I will be sure to measure in oz tomorrow though

How many ounces should I start for him? If he's eating it then yes that's fine if he's refusing to eat it like that you can always add water. Never add to much water. It needs to be at LEAST the consistency of heavy whipping cream. No thinner.

Whoooooooo! Way to go Merlin! I'd keep putting soup out for him! Try to get to the point that you can put out enough for him to eat in a 12 hour period of time. You both are doing great!

I am very very proud of him I am a tad confused though I am so so sorry. but when you say 12 hours. do you mean leaving him enough soupie out for 12 hours for him to eat as he pleases? also I gave him some egg about 10:40am which he ate a bit of then decided to sleep until like 12:29 then got up and started back in on the egg a bit. he hasnt fully finished it yet but I am so proud of him

Yes. that's how the feeding schedule is generally set up as twice a day with 12 hours between each feeding feeding. Does that make sense? Example, if I put out the morning feeding at 10 am, I should feed again at 10 pm. They should have a few bites left over from the previous feeding when you go to feed them again. If they have a ton left over, you are feeding too much. If the bowl is empty, you need to feed more. Once he consistently eats the soup without encouragement from you, you can take the kibble away.
