Paulie has for a long time treated stuffies (except Fred Ferret, his buddy toy) as babies. They are carted off to the nest, cuddled with, and groomed here and there. They are almost never wrestled with. I have to say though, this squirrel toy I got him for Christmas may get groomed to a new level. He gave it a complete bath today in the drawer while I was petting him. In fact, I moved the squirrel so he could groom it better. It was terribly cute--and I suppose the squirrel toy looks a bit like a kit (I'll have to take a picture). Anyone else have hobs/gibs that mother their stuffies like this? I know there are many little sprites and jills that do.

Now that's adorable Boris used to be mad for his stuffies. No idea if he mothered them or not- we weren't allowed to watch ;D

Aww that's so cute! My boy does something similar with this scruffy squeaky teddy. It has its own house and he regularly checks to make sure Teddy is there. If Teddy is not in his house, Hurley will go and look for him and put him back in his rightful place.
One evening I brought Teddy into the living room for Hurley to play with and forgot to put him back in the ferret room when they went to bed. When I went in the next morning, Hurley was curled up asleep in Teddy's house (bear in mind it's a wooden box with a hole in it on top of a cat tree with no cushion or blanket in it) . It was almost like Hurley was sleeping there so he could catch Teddy creeping in at midnight.

I've had a number of the boys who've cared for stuffies. Captain Jack loved his stuffy, a monkey named Jack to death. We eventually hung it on the wall along with Captain Jack's harness. It will be his travelling companion later. Loki Bears had a small cat that had to be in it's place under the recliner. If you moved it he would get very upset and beat up his stuffy and put it back under the recliner. Thor has two stuffies. A chipmunk and a rabbit (they're made of the same type of fiber and appear to be interchangeable) He keeps them in the downstairs litter box . I keep taking them out so they don't get pooped on...he won't play with them (or stash them) if they're clean, so they don't smell right if they've been washed. They have been a number of times (I don't see them in the litter box until it's too late and they've been pooped on). Odin collects tennis balls (making up for the ones he lost ) Yuri eats his (I don't know about this boy ) so can't have any. Minion has a squirrel (which is being washed right now as he buried it in the litter box ) He grooms it and beats it up. Nicodemus had a chattering weasel. Strangely enough, I've never had a sprite keep a stuffy. Only the boys ciao

Maisey -Mae has a yellow baby sheep that she stashes under her hammock, or in the playroom she puts him in her lair which is a 5 inch space between the wall and a cabinet. Hunter has a pig stuffie, Boo stole it and ripped a hole in piggie's head so he is in the mending pile. We gave him a replacement piggy, but it is not treated the same. Hunter brings the original piggy to his bed, but the new one gets stashed elsewhere.

Heather that is too funny that Loki Bears "punished" his kitty for leaving it's spot! ;D ;D ;D ;D And grimsqueaker that is so cute! He was waiting for Teddy to come home. My boys could care less about stuffies. Koda's thing was his special "gluvs" (little woolen/cotton gloves for winter time - I get them in all different colors) but he started eating holes in them so he is not allowed to play with them anymore. But when he was allowed to play with them they ALL had to be stashed away under the bed. No gluvs could be allowed to sit in-sight. I wish my boys did have little "babies" but they really don't do much with toys other than stash them, unless a hooman is on the other end of the toy. Except for jingle balls. If it jingles or rattles Kenai is all over it. He has learned how to crack into the cat balls so now they don't get those. Between the two of them they have systematically removed almost every kind of toy that they can play with.

We got some from our Secret Santa and Kenai LOVED the football shaped one! They have all disappeared though.... I am sure they will turn up in some random place as I start to unpack...

So have Paulie's--except the football that is in the FN. I find them randomly under furniture or in corners now and then. Paulie of course, puts them in corners to try to fit them in his mouth the stash them.
Paulie has had stuffie babies since he was a kit. I bought his purple baby dragon from Target for $1. It immediately became his stash and sleep toy (at the time it was as big as he was). That is his other favorite baby. He has groomed it so that it is soooo nappy, lol.

Adorable stories! Trixie loves socks (she prefers dirty ones, yuck!). Sometimes I put a sock over a toy and she'll go crazy stashing it everywhere. They got this one little mouse that came from a at teaser toy. Dixie and Trixie take turns stealing it and stashing it. Then Trixie runs around with it in her mouth so Dixie doesn't move it. They each wait until the other is busy and sneak over and hide it again. It's pretty cute and funny

That sounds like Zeus and Vincent with the skineeze ;D Zeus takes them all, and puts certain ones in certain spots. Vincent comes out to play there, immediately has to find all the skineeze, and back under the china cabinet. Then Zeus comes back out the next day, and moves all of them back to where they are supposed to be, etc., ect., etc ;D

Dixie actually tries to steal it out of Trixie's mouth. ;D I feel bad because Trixie is too paranoid to put it down so she just carries it around constantly
