So needless to say I feel thoroughly like I am going to throw up. I found one crawling across my blanket on the couch. I have NEVER had a tick in the house. I don't treat my dogs for it because I've never had an issue and they aren't super common in the part of AZ I live in. the only new animals in the home are the ferrets. I checked and double checked them and nothing not even in ears. There has been ALOT of rain here in the past two weeks. Don't know if it got in here somehow? And I am a groomer and did in the last like 2 weeks work with 3 different dogs and found one tick on each(that I found anyway and removed and got rid of) I did see the thread on removing them and I will be keeping that in mind. I checked over my dogs and nothing and I know my other animals are good as well they don't go outside, just the dogs go out but I touch them a Lot and check for lumps dry skin etc fairly often
My question is should I be panicking? Because I am.. A groomer friend said if I don't see another that I should just keep an eye out and if I see another to get a smoke bomb. But don't I have to remove every living thing from the house first? I have many animals including a 210 gallon fish tank with fish and turtles.

Every time we've needed to get rid of ticks or fleas, we've had to kinda evacuate the area, both humans and animals as the chemicals from the bombs can be harmful to both. And when using as treatment, you need to treat the entire house, not just singular rooms, so it makes it a bit hard if you have a lot of animals you need to cart around out of the house.
You also need to make sure none of the animals eat any food that may have come into contact with the chemicals.
