One of their poops it looks kinda seedy and it was kinda dry. Like moon sand when I tried to pick it up. But they said they get white and chalky when they have to much bone so I guess it's ok.
Nero usually gets a little weird for a couple days after a new protein though so I'm not really concerned just wanted to have a picture and the day marked down .

Good idea to keep track of stools! They do indeed get dry & chalky when they have too much bone. Signs of illness tend to be funky color, smell & liquidy. Mmmm, ground beef & egg is like a dessert in this house

It made Nero's poop really runny and dark. Everyone had similar poops but they held a tube shape atleast.

Hearts are very high in blood, (as are livers, kidneys, and other organs) - these will make ther poops dark & runny... And stinky. "Organ nights" are famous around here...Or maybe it's leaning out the litter boxes that have gained notoriety Puked on duck?

I was in the other room heard gagging and checked on them and Bear was next to the food plate and their was a little bit of bile on the plate touching the duck. I think I posted about it. I was freaked out, I threw away the duck without weighing what was left called the vet and did a blockage protocol on her with the vets blessing. (Only 24 hr one said they didn't do ferrets) nothing came out but she seems fine today.

Chances are she ate too fast But it's fantastic you're familiar with the blockage protocol & have a ferret vet available to you.

How are Satan, Nero & Bear liking Frankenprey? Looking back through this week it does not look like their menu is balanced - since all the organs/nutrients aren't in a furry happy meal like wholeprey it's imperative they get: 7-9 bone in meals 1.5 Organ meals 1) 1/2 liver + 1/2 kidney 2) 1/2 heart + 1/4 liver 1/4 kidney 1 Heart meal Remaining meals muscle. **Please create & post a balanced menu for next week** Balance is imperative to ensuring ferrets are getting all the vitamins & nutrients they need. Some important nutrients are: Taurine is an essential amino acid - meaning ferrets *must* get taurine from their diets to survive. Taurine is necessary for heart, brain, and eye health. Without taurine ferrets suffer blindness, heart failure, as well as lowered immunity. Vitamin A is a fat soluble, and found in liver. Vitamin A is necessary for vision, as well as their structural integrity (muscular & skeletal). Vitamin A must be fed carefully & accordingly as Vitamin A can build up in the fat and lead to hypervitaminosis (too much) Biotin (B7) is the vitamin that makes fur soft & shiny, and can be found in egg yolks. Eggs should always be fed *WHOLE* (or yolk only). Eggs also prevent bezoars (hairballs that cause blockages) & can be feed once week during non shedding seasons, and 2-3 times a week during sheds.
