Hi flying into the usa is not too bad ( costs are horrific I know lol ) but I do know when you could ship into Canada direct it was a lot of paper work lol ( I supplied heathers four from England to Canada before the ban was put in place lol and had to deal with paper work over here in the uk while heather sorted out paperwork over there and we had to make sure it all satisfied both parties and heather was only given a short time line to work with ) we also had to do passports ( not needed for usa just microchips ) the box requirement is correct most of the pet brokers who will transport on your behalf will request to know the size of the animal and weight ect ( as each animal must have a set amount of room by law before it is allowed to fly ) and the airlines like to know precise weights the other heather (Devon country ferrets ) may not reply yet as I know she was on holiday at the buckeye bash last week and she may of extended her holiday lol good luck with your search for a fuzzy take care bye for now Bev

Scarlett has babies now, she has some retired breeders. She has a ferret named Mini Pearl, (Black Pearl's kit) she is not a self, but she does have the genes. When I was there last may (to pick up Thor) almost all of her ferrets had the dark fur and the black nose so adorable with the white around the muzzle. It was just cuteness overload. Look up her website Scarlet's Happy dookers and send her an email. I met Mini Pearl she is beautiful. She has retired ferrets too.

I'm going to Midwest Ferret Fellowship Faire on September 14th. I will get a hob from Pam (very exited!) but, I have a space for one more It's going to be an adventure, but the flight is not that long.

I am a little late on this. Scarlett, has new litters each spring. She also has retired breeders. When I went to pick up Thor it was cuteness overload. I suggest you order early. Visit her website Scarlet's Happy Dookers. Thor is/was a black self, but he got a mask this year (this is his second winter). Hope it turns back to black or as I said to hubby, get the black shoe polish. Just joking, I would love him no matter what color he was. They change many time during their lives.

I'm going to have to research if there are any breeders in Wisconsin, otherwise we will have to travel to Ohio to get our next ferret. I want them to live a longer life and start out with raw rather than kibble. We are probably going to wait a year at least until we have a bigger place.

Nothing close by to New York? I'll be moving back in June with my fiancé. I use to live in manhattan so I know the laws but we will be living in upstate where it is legal. So looking for any breeders near by, even if it means a few hours to drive, let me know!

What many people do is talk to breeders who will be going to one of the ferret shows, and make arrangements to pick up kits there.

Ann Barzda is in Mt. Holly, NJ. Not exactly next door but closer than most to NYC. I know she's got a couple of litters coming.

I'm interested in learning about ferret breeders in the US.. I live in the midwest, so am looking for breeders in the Midwest (MN, WI, ND, SD, MT,...)... Or any other breeders that ship. I've looked online at breeder sites & Facebook groups, but I'm having a difficult time finding anything. If any one could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Just to make you aware, Devon Country Ferrets are no longer a Ferretry... They had to pack it up this year when they moved to the US because they weren't allowed to take their ferrets with them. I saw it on FB a couple of months ago before their page disappeared.

Shady Hollow is gone too. Sally hasn't bred for a few years now.
