I've noticed the growing abundance of awesome stickies posted by our veterans, but it is really hard on Proboards to search and find the ones I need. These posts are often long and updated. Have you though of creating a blog to host these posts? I know Jennifer always has really insightful posts, as does Heather, and like I said, if you need a sticky sometimes it is hard to locate. I figured the advantage to a blog would be tags and categories more robust than the forum to allow easy searching, and only approved folks could author a post. I'm seeing this model really successful in the game dev/grad student world, so I'm wondering, why not for holistic ferrets? Here are examples from those two areas: www.gradhacker.org/altdevblogaday.org/Just a thought, as there is a lot of great content here. I know you guys are gunning for a website in the long run, and this might be a great place to start. Sorry if this has come up before.

I use blogspot.com and I would be more then happy to do up something until the site it done. I know I am not a raw person, I was but Isis WILL NOT eat anything but kibble. I tried over and over and shes stuck in her ways. But if I'm just taking stickies and suggested posts and copying them I don't see it being an issue and I would love to help out until the site is done.
EDIT: I don't know if you can have more then one person who can post but I could give the password to all the mods.

So funny - I just started building a new site yesterday. I registered a few domains that it could go on -- Ferretic.com, FerretMath.com, WellFerret.com. I'd be happy to take on some of the project and I can set up as many user accounts as anyone is interested in.

I figure I'll let it be up to Sherry and Jackie--since I know they've been working on everything from the top end. But it was a thought I had today when Gradhacker launched.

Happy to help if anyone wants a hand. I know running a forum can keep your hands full. I can volunteer my Wordpress skills.

I'll be honest- some way to get everything organized would be great! But don't have the first clue how to set something like THAT up ;D And I honestly don't know what, if anything, is happening with the website. Let me talk to Heather and the others, and I'll get back to you

Cool. I use enough HTML and CSS, that I should be able to figure out something. If Kristin registered Holistic Ferrets, and she has CPanel, we could install Wordpress (pretty powerful blog/content management platform once it is set up). Or, we could go blogger (probably easier). I could easily set that up and add extra authors-they would just have to have google accounts. After I get our mascots done. (new drawings tonight--I felt compelled to bake cookies today). This is my blogger blog with a template I customized to match my portfolio: kurihitotsu.blogspot.com/

I could also just point the domain to the blogger account if you want.

I would be willing to help submit some articles in an organized fashion for a blog, I know there are ways to create a 'community' where multiple people can contribute posts! Would be ultra nifty. Just let me know what you need me to do

Sherry, if you want, I could set up a trial blog for HFF this weekend, see if we like it? I'm pretty familiar with how blogger works and can at least get a feel for how that could work out. I'll also check out Wordpress.com, in case it has better features.

I guess ;D Like I said, I don't have the first clue about anything like that. Nor have I ever read blogs, or followed them!

-stumbles across this post- Hey all, I'm website development student from Australia. If you need a hand creating this project I would be more then happy to help out. I didn't like seen the words "word press" -dies- you don't use a program to make a website. I know html, css, javaScript, PHP and Mysql.
