Exactly! Basically they will only absorb so much in a certain amount of time so breaking it up to twice a day will help them absorb more taurine that way

When does grapetail usually start showing up for raw fed ferret? I have never experienced grape tail to be honest so I don't know that one. Maybe @katt can weigh in on this.

Hahaha maybe it will maybe not. I have been feeding raw for a while now and I have never experienced it. No problem that's what I am here for. Sometimes we just need extra brains to figure stuff out and give new ideas

Their poops are looking good by the way! Just smaller than normal which I'm assuming is because there's not junk that they don't need in the soupie

I am convinced that grape tail is a myth. I have never smelled grape tail before. Except far too many people have independently noticed it. Guess my nose just isn't attuned to grape odor. lmao My boys always smelled sweet, but never grapey.

The girls didn't eat as much yesterday or this morning, but I was a bit busier so I wasn't able to push them to eat as much. Around 2 1/2 ounces each yesterday.
Soooooooo we have a surprise new ferret kit. She's a Dew and 3 months old! Stopped at the pet store today to buy littter and my boyfriend hadn't seen the aquarium they Keep the ferretsi in before, he was shocked. (I'm always the one to buy the supplies so he is never in the pet store. ) she had poop in her fur and wax in her ears and he just couldn't leave her there, he was mortified. (I don't think he believed me when I told him how bad I felt everytime I went in there. So home she came!
I ve got her separated from Mauser and Catalina and washed off the poop and cleaned her ears. I rubbed some soup on her mouth but she's so excited right now it didn't do much good. Going to let her run around the bedroom for awhile and try the dabing of the soupie again.

I forgot how much energy kits have holy crap. I can't tell if she's deaf or just so overwhelmed by her new surroundings that she doesn't care about noises.

Congrats <3 I am super excited for you! Babies are the best! They are especially easy to switch as well. Usually you can just give them a chicken wing and they are down to Nom on that without coaxing (usually) Hahaha. DEWs are usually deaf. There are always exceptions to rules but mainly they are. Which doesn't change how they are they just can't hear you I would let her play as much as possible and if you feel more comfortable giving her some soup that's fine. If not you can try for a wing

Okay I'm running to the store as soon as I eat my dinner to buy more thighs to make soup for the older girls, I'll buy some wings and see what happens, especially since she's kinda like wtf about the soup. I would prefer to just never give new girl kibble at all. But of course Im Super paranoid she won't eat at all if I can't get her to try anything. My middle name should have been worry or overthink lol.
Any suggestions on trying the wing? Or just chuck it in the room with her lol

Well I made a suggestion but it didn't show up weird. Anyways I would just sit down with her and show it to her and see what happens.
She's young enough you shouldn't need to give her kibble. Just spoon feed her if she is being a little brat about it until she gets that soup is food bahaha. Sometimes babies are so easy sometimes they can be hellions.
