Well I'm at work right now, but this morning went as good as ever. Catalina forgot she had ever eaten the soupie before and had to be reminded by me holding her and spoon feeding her, Mauser dove right in after I waved the spoon by her face and let her take a lick off of it.

Well I had woken them up so they hadn't eaten in a little bit, as usual I put a couple drops of salmon oil to entice them but other than that as soon as the plate hit the floor Mauser was on top of it and Catalina immediately started eating it off the spoon, I placed her on the floor and led her to the plate with the spoon and she ate it off the plate right away which was awesome. I fed them the usual two cubes throughout yesterday evening, but I didn't try to get them to eat another... Something to try tonight!

It was hard to get a picture of the soup because they ate it so fast! Awesome! I am so excited! This is great news. Did you use any kibble over night?

Yes I've been leaving the kibble in the cage over night because I'm scared they wont eat at all over night if I leave just the soup.. I just got home from my family gathering, sorry for the slower responses today.
I'm so mad though, my local meat market is closed today and the girls have been going through the soup faster than I expected, so I knew I needed to grab hearts somewhere to make more soup tonight. I already have all the other ingredients portioned out in the freezer. So on my way home I stop at Walmart and grab a package of gizzards and hearts, I figured there would be enough hearts in there to make at least one batch of soup until I can go to the meat market tomorrow. Nope. Not one frigging heart. I'm so mad.
So long story short, can I start the no kibble and just soup in their cage tomorrow night once I have extra soupie made up? I'm feeling like the worst ferrent ever right now.

In the hearts and gizzard package from Walmart there has to be two hearts are you sure you don't have two hearts? Also, you aren't a bad ferrent I promise you that. Things happen so it's no big deal you can start taking away the kibble if tomorrow if you still can't find the hearts. If you do find the hearts you can take it away tonight as long as they are eating enough

I just sat down and double checked the package, I made my boyfriend sit there with me and make sure I wasn't just missing them, no hearts I swear lol. Well now I'm super loaded up on gizzards. Phew. Taking deep breaths. I have enough to get me through tonights feeding and am feeding, so I'll make the new batch tomorrow am after I run to the meat market and we can give the over night a whirl. What happens if they refuse to eat it by themselves overnight?
