ok so I have a mentor, but I wanted to get a variety of answers. I hope this is ok! I also hope this is in the right area and hasn't been answered in depth before. I'm sorry if I'm repeating something! feel free to delete/move.
so I'm getting to the end of the daily model stage, and I'm supposed to move to the weekly model. I'm just . . . not sure how. how did you guys do it? do I order tons of meat in bulk and freeze it? how do I prepare?
I have some menus written up and ready, I'm just not sure how to ready myself and get all the meats in advance and prepare them for the weeks to come, etc. how much do I order in advance? get a TON or just enough for a month?
(I'm the queen of idiot questions, I'm sorry)

Talk to your mentor This is a discussion that should be with him/her as this is what they're there for ciao

Well, it depends on your personal schedule, budget, and available storage space. If you've got a flexible budget and a lot of freezer space, you'll save the most money buying many months of food at a time if you order online.
If you've got a lot of time and space but a smaller budget, you'll save the most money by scanning grocery stores, butchers, and ethnic markets for items on sale on a weekly basis and grabbing what's on sale.
If you've not got storage space, it'll be hard either way, because you have to leave deals behind and can't get bulk discounts online, so focus on reliable storage first.

Your mentor really is the best one to help you as he/she knows you and your wee ones

FireAngel will help you move from one stage to another. It's a gradual process, but take your time and don't stress about how you should be doing something. She's a fantastic mentor, and has worked quite well with you. Here's a little advice, Only buy meat in bulk as long as you are 100% sure that your ferrets have tried it beforehand. You wouldn't want to buy in bulk, then realise one ferret may have a reaction to it- that would end up quite a waste of meat. It would be best, in my opinion, to start small by purchasing small quantities and work your way up. You could prep in advance, if that works for you. Some will prep weeks in advance, months in advance- it depends on you. If you would like more advice on how you can go about getting onto a weekly model, your mentor is the best option. She's there to help and support you. Everyone has their own style of doing things, so find what suits you best under the guidance of your mentor.

I'm sorry I didn't realize how much of a stressor this was for you (shy) I have posted a step by step for you with a few pictures in our thread. Hope this helps if not just keeping asking questions till it does, if I run out of ways to explain I will ask another mentor to help me explain it differently.

I found this thread helpful as I don't have a mentor yet. :-) Thank you Nannah.

Don't be embarrassed We weren't chastising you It is just easier if when a mentor is assigned you deal with that one person(unless they aren't available) as we all use different methods and it can become confusing.
