Our family includes quite a few members of different species. I've just jumped back into being a ferret parent, but I wanted to share some of our other species with you Expect more pictures in the future! If you ever have any questions about any of the animals I take care of feel free to ask away. Pip the male short tailed opossum. Short tailed opossums will lose their outer ears if kept in too low of humidity, and they develop bald patches if their diet is too low in animal protein. Our trio came with some of these issues. Eevee the short tailed opossum's first litter of four. They are about 4 days old. These are pouchless marsupials. About two weeks from conception the opossums are born and attach to the mother's nipples where they stay for four weeks before migrating to her back and ultimately weaning at 2 months of age. Tiger the crested gecko. Luka as a 12-week old puppy. Katara, taken in the spring when we had wildflowers blooming. Katara and Luka - who is about 5 months old here. Luka now at 9 months. His ear was broken at the base by a littermate and the cartilage grew back at an odd angle, but we don't talk about it
