Stubborn fuzzbutts haha. Should I keep them on an AM/PM feeding schedule if they're protesting? And if they keep it up, do I still leave soup out throughout the day just in case?

I'd personally feel more comfortable with three feedings a day if you have time for it, the three feedings is more to get them into the habit of eating when they need to during the day when food is out. Once they get consistent about eating off the plate during spoon feedings, then you can take away the mid-day feeding. Right now we just don't want them to over protest and end up hurt because of it. Yes, keep soup out during the day. The day soup doesn't need to be as many cubes as the night soup though because you are still spoon feeding them during the day. 1-2 cubes during the day should be fine.

Got it! Do you mind if I post my schedule on here? Also, would it be okay if I swt out soup in in the fridge to use the next morning? Like put 2 in a bowl before bed to use for breakfast?

This is more so I remember than anything else, haha; but thanks! (Fed them again for the night; they ate about the same amount as earlier. I'm starting to think that Blaze doesn't eat very much in general.) 6:30 AM- Freshen up cage plate; thaw breakfast feeding 9:30 AM- Breakfast feeding; thaw cage plate/lunch 12:30 PM- Lunch feeding/change plate 3:30 PM- Thaw dinner 6:30 PM- Dinner feeding/ thaw cage plate 8:30 PM- Change plate/put cubes in fridge for next day Voila! 3 feeding sessions, and constant soup in the cage in case they're hungry between them. Today was a funky schedule with the errands, but that doesn't happen very often, thankfully. Hopefully Bo and Blaze won't be protesting for long haha.

Someone (not sure who) did eat part of what I left overnight. Bp ate out of the bowl again. Blaze is being her stubborn self haha. Squirmy and difficult, but she's taking the spoon pretty well. As a side note, I've noticed that they're really slowing down when it comes to drinking water. Is that normal?

Someone eating out of the bowl at night is a big step forward! Silly Blaze, she will come around eventually. Why, yes, yes it is. Kibble fed ferrets require more water due to the lack of water in their food. Raw has a much higher water content, so they don't need to drink as much water. good oberservation!

I have good news! Blaze was eating out of the bowl I put in their cage for the night. I know it was her because she finished and slid it off the panel to the bottom of the cage and managed to scare me awake. It's a relief about the water, I was starting to think maybe something was wrong haha.

:boing: That makes me ridiculously happy! Silly girl, would rather eat in the dark. Is all of the soup gone in the morning then? See? You're catching on quick as a new ferrent! Also, I promise, I will get another lesson out to you, I'm battling being sick right now and my brain doesn't want to think too hard.

WHOOOOOOOOOO! Now you can start adding more soup at night until they have a few bites left over in the morning. How are day feedings going? Are they getting better about eating straight from the bowl?

They need help in the beginning but after that, they're consistently eatong from the bowl.
I've given them about 2 cubes each night. I'll do three tonight and see where that gets us haha.
