I ordered my food from www.keystonenaturalfoods.com/She makes her food with dogs and cats in mind. She grounds the whole animal if she raises it herself but in the case of things she gets from elsewhere like beef she grinds it herself and adds in organs and bones to her ratio "Our mix ratio contains about 80 % meat, 12 % organs and 8 % bone mass." The chickens are raised by her so she plucks them removes their intestines and grinds them. The chicken grind is very moist and I see a few bone flecks here and there so I plan to give Satan a ground meal in the morning (probably a ground snack when my fiance feeds them in the middle of the day if their food is empty) and wings or neck at night. (The other two havent tried bone in yet) Would I give him a meal of chicken hearts sometime during the first chicken week or just add one or two to a meal over the week to make sure they get enough taurine? Does it sound ok for my first week of totally removing kibble?

You plan on getting different proteins don't you? Chicken on it's own would not be balanced, however to start out with this seems to be a good option. I also checked out the website. Looks good and has quite a nice variety there to buy from. I did check over some of their other proteins and it doesn't always state the percentages, which really worries me. I'm impressed by the wholeprey though! Those rabbits look so great. Have you considered trying wholeprey at all? Just as you would with a frankenprey weekly menu, you want at least 1 meal of hearts every week to ensure enough Taurine is in the diet. For more information, Here is a post on balancing Frankenprey and Alternative diets. holisticferretforum.com/natural-diet/raw-diet-the-meat-of-the-site/balancing-frankenprey-with-alternative-meals/

I was told to try each protein for a week to check for any sensitivities. I asked her about the grounds because I was concerned too and she said this...
