Mine was $75 (Craigslist), but I've done a lot of browsing of most hours within a couple hours drive from me and I see a lot more around $100-300 including cage and a few supplies (varying from actual quality cage to one I'd just get rid of). Usually see 2 at around the same, maybe $100-400 with the same amount of stuff. I've seen people try to go up to $400 for one with rudimentary cage though. I've seen agencies go about $70-150 for one or bonded pair. Haven't looked at those as much, though.

i got Loki from the RSPCA for £20, Gizmo from a breeder for £20 and Oscar from a breeder for free as he felt sorry for Gizmo as his brother had just died but he normally charged £15 for a hob £35 for a jill

People on Craigslist tend to be insane and unreasonable for adoption fees. I found SPCA to charge $75-$100 per ferret, while rescues specially for ferrets ranged between $50-$200 depending on the she and health of the ferret.

We bought 2 ferrets at Petco for $80 each (they were on sale) , and adopted one from a shelter for $100. Will get our next ferret from the same shelter in Dover, NJ. Just want to support them. If you think about how much work shelter keepers do and how much $$ they spend for food, medications, and health care, $100 seems a very moderate fee.
