Its halfway through autumn here, cold weather hast just started. - we're in the uk.
Nippy will stay with breeder to be rehomed. Diet will probably be kibble with whole prey. I have no control over that and i know he's in good hands.

So if your little one has really hard chalky poops what can you do to soften up his poop?
What about if his poop is to runny?

Just for my own ease of seeing the menu all in one piece:
Monday Am duck necks Pm chicken wings
Tuesday Am lamb breast Pm chicken wings
Wednesday Am beef chunks Pm turkey chunks
Thursday Am heart Pm chicken wings
Friday Am organ mix Pm duck necks
Saturday Am heart liver & kidney Pm chicken neck
Sunday Am duck neck Pm chicken neck
I count 1.5 meals organ (of unknown proportions), 1.5 meals heart, 8 bone in, 5 proteins. 🙂 Overall you're looking really good. As Morgan said though we would like to know what is in the organ mix as far as both contents and proportions (eg is it 1/2 liver, 1/4 spleen, 1/4 uterus, or is it 3/4 liver and 1/4 kidney, or...etc).

Organ mix is 1/2 liver 1/2 mixed pancreas testicle spleen kidney. Do i have to keep repeating, even though i use the same mix every week?

Organ mix is 1/2 liver 1/2 mixed pancreas testicle spleen kidney. Do i have to keep repeating, even though i use the same mix every week? Sometimes we need reminding. We track switches closely but we can't memorize it all. So your 1.5 organ meals are 1 meal of the organ mix (1/2 liver, 1/2 other organs), and half a meal of 1/2 liver, 1/2 kidney. Perfect.

Alright, are you ready for your final exam? If so here it is!
Also take your time answering these questions and please answer without using anything else. This way we can go over anything that you may have missed and make sure you properly understand it.
1) Does freezing degrade taurine? 2) Cooked vs Raw bones? 3) In an emergency (you run out of bone) what are 2 acceptable bone substitutes and how much should your ferrets get? (Be specific) 4) List 3 organs aside from liver. Organs should consist of approximately how much liver and much "other" organ? 5) Are gizzards a muscle meat, or an organ? 6) Is it a good idea to mix muscle meat, bone in, and organs all in one meal? Explain why. 7) How can you tell if your ferret is too fat or too skinny? 8) How much can a ferrets appetite and weight change seasonally? 9) What is a normal fasting blood glucose levels? 10) About how long is a ferrets digestion time? 11) What is a healthy diet item that can be used for hairballs, and how often should you give it? 12) Are leaner meats better for your ferret or fattier meats? 13) Is dark or white meat better purchase choice? 14) Why is cooking meat generally considered inadvisable? 15) How long does each type of meat generally stay good? Raw soup, ground meat, med-large chunks, bone in meats, whole prey?
Good luck!

@pepsismum- as per the Mentoring Program Rules:You are required to post every second day during the "soup" stage of the transition. From the "sliver" stage, through to large chunks, you will be required to post a minimum of every 3 days. Once you hit the large chunks, once a week will be acceptable.
Since you are over the large chunk stage and are extremely close to graduating and getting your raw feeding status I am hoping that you complete your quiz. We can then move on to make sure your menu is balanced and then you have graduated. But, until then we can't move forward without that last part being done.
