You do not need to seperate Roscoe and toby for feedings as long as you don't mind Toby following Roscoes diet. Is Roscoe on Carafate at all? Or anything to help coat and protect his tummy?

He was and I do still have some. I gave him Famotidine 15 minutes prior to giving him the Carafate. I don't have much of the Famotidine left but I have quite a bit of the carafate left. He was only on 2 cc of the carafate.

I guess not. And, I won't be going back to that vet. Sadly, it is the same vet that gave him Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein (which I never gave him after reading all the ingredients and none of them were meat...it is all soy) and it is the same vet that told me to give him vegetables for treats. :/ I even repeated it to make sure I heard it right. The dosage is on the bottle. But, he did start pred yesterday so I don't know if I can mix the two.

Oh! I did remove the kibble Friday afternoon from the cages. Also, how much S&C should I be giving them? The order will ship out Monday! I placed it last Tuesday morning! It's only two day shipping. I guess they only ship on Monday? I figured it would be here by now. The chicken I have here none of them will eat except Chloe and Max. Yay for Chloe and Max! They will be easy. They tore into it. I gave them each a chicken drumette I bought yesterday and they went crazy over them! Max went and took Chloe's from her so then he had two! LOL! She wasn't having it, though. She went and took it back from him. Haha! I was relieved to see them take to them so easy. The others? Not a chance.

How much food will be a guessing game for a bit honestly. For Roscoe and Toby try 4oz of already rehydrated, you can start the rabbit for him now. The others if they eat in pairs you can try 4oz for them also of already rehydrated S&C. (I would save the rabbit kind for just Roscoe and Toby for now). Because it is a new flavor for Roscoe and Toby you may have act like it is a brand new switch again. Spoon or hand feed as needed. You can use the carafate and pred together. Give him the carafate about 30 mins prior to him getting his pred and a meal. Do you have a new vet lined up? I would really like to have you get their input on this as carafate can cause absorption of nutrient issues if used too long, but it is such a good med to help prevent the bleeding and irritation that the benefits of long term use may outweigh the risks.

That vet isn't my normal very but she was highly recommended. I will ask their normal vet. I put some rabbit in Toby and Roscoe's duck this morning and they ate it. Roscoe sniffed for a while but eventually ate. Do I need to pull the duck altogether?

If Roscoe is digesting the duck alright then no. How are his poops on just the duck?

His poop has been okay today. I don't know if it's because I removed the kibble Friday or because he started the prednisone yesterday...I figured a slow switch to the rabbit would be easier for him. I put a little more in tonight and he ate good!

You are right a slow switch is better if there is no urgency in getting it switched. Right now if poops are looking ok then slow and steady is the way to go. So he is eating only duck and rabbit right now? Your order should be in, in a couple of days!! Are you excited to get going with the rest of this?!! If you don't mind me suggesting this, you may want to do 4oz portions of everything until you know how much is getting eaten.

4 oz portions of everything? Just give 4 oz to each pair? Or 4 oz per ferret? I am excited! I'm excited to see how well Max and Chloe do too. I think they will be happy to get fully back on raw. Roscoe is only eating the duck and rabbit right now. He loves it!

Depending on how often you are able to check on their food then 4oz per pair per meal is a good start. If you are not home to check it often, it is better to have more then not enough.

How long can the food be left out for? I fed them at 8:30 this morning and didn't get home until 5:30 and Toby was eating. :/

I leave my S&C out for 12 hours and that is mixed with grinds. They have better noses then we do, if it was bad generally speaking he wouldn't eat it. I will put together a post of the pm's we have had tomorrow afternoon sometime. What did the vet say about the carafate?
