I have applied for a mentor. I thought I would start my thread to get things moving forward
My ferret: Kiwi, 8 months old. Health problems: None other than excessive itching Currently fed: Orijen Red Cat Food
I am at work (on a ridiculously slow Friday) typing this. I do not have my scale with me, and I have not yet weighed my girl. She is very healthy looking, not thin and not overweight. Her coat is beautiful and very soft. I want to switch due to her itching.
I wanted to post an example week and go from there
Based on: 9 Meals Consumable Bone (CB) 4 Meals Muscle Meat (MM) 1.5 Meals of heart included 1.5 Meals Liver & Other Organ (Org)
Minimum of 3 protein sources (Beef, Chicken, Turkey, Pork)
FIRST WEEK
Monday: AM: Beef (MM) PM: Chicken Wing (CB)
Tuesday: AM: 1/2 Meal Chicken Liver & 1/2 Meal Beef Kidney, Spleen, or Lung (Org) PM: Turkey Wing (CB)
Wednesday: AM: Chicken Wing (CB) PM: Chicken Heart (MM)
Thursday: AM: Pork Rib (CB) PM: Chicken Wing (CB)
Friday: AM: Chicken Gizzard (MM) PM: Turkey Wing (CB)
Saturday: AM: 50% of meal Meal Chicken Heart (MM) & 25% Meal Beef Kidney, (Org) + 25% Chicken Liver (Org) PM: Chicken Wing (CB)

Do tell how turkey wing goes---I have never done that. Curious how you would cut it.
Call some Asians stores and ask if they have quail. Each Asian store that I have been to sells frozen quail, a nice small bird.

For the turkey wing, mine have only been able to consume the wing tip but tearing the meat off the bone for the rest of it is great stimulation.

Hi Sherry, Out of curiosity, do you know how long the wait is for a response to the menu?!! I've been on every day, multiple times a day hoping for a response Jess

The one listed here? That is what the comments were about pork rib and turkey wing are as a rule too dense a bone for them to eat, so other bone in meats will be needed. The rest looks okay.

It's ok to add more meat with wings and neck and rib bones of quail since there is not much meat on these pieces. U can pull from breast. Maybe someone will comment. I feed for 4, so it is a little different what I put out.
