Okay, first of all, I am sorry for making so many posts about my ferrets diet, I just want to make sure I am doing it correctly and am not doing something terribly wrong. I have frozen egg trays filled with the raw soup- the soup contains beef stew, pork, chicken, turkey, an egg, water, and olive oil- I give this to them three times a day. I have then ground up some more beef stew, pork, and organic chicken thighs, the other one I ground up has turkey, pork, and chicken thighs. We don't have a very large selection of meat here, so, they are basically getting that every week, sometimes I take away one or add one, so it doesn't always taste the same. Does that sound alright? Advice is always appreciated, and thank you for putting up with all my posting

As long as they are getting three proteins a week, you shouldn't worry. So you said, pork, chicken, beef, turkey, that's four. Good job!
Are you using extra virgin olive oil?
Don't overdue the egg, one egg per ferret per week is enough, I wouldn't do much more.
You can also add the eggshells to the soup, this will give them extra calcium that they would normally get from bones.
Sounds great, and don't be afraid at how many threads you make, the more the merrier!

Phew, okay good! Yes, I am using extra virgin olive oil, I don't think I will keep them on it much longer though, and I'll make sure to add some eggshell next time I make the soup. Thank you Fearless, this took a huge weight off my shoulders

And for the eggshell, I use a clean coffee grinder to powder it. Makes it a lot easier. Use about 1/2 tsp per 8 oz of soup. You can also put this on the meat chunks when they get to that point, before they are eating bone.

Are you feeding any heart or liver?

Don't worry about posting "too much" -- we are all here to help each other. There are no dumb questions here either. If you are not feeding organ meat add taurine 350 mg per day per ferret.

Jackie- I haven't been feeding any heart or liver, would it be a good idea to do so, about once a week?
Miamiferret- Thank you, I'll look into that =)

Yes, heart at least once a week, any kind that they'll eat will do. Expect to see darker, possibly looser stools, especially if it's beef heart. For organ meat, about 2 oz of liver per ferret per week. Again, any kind. Same for any other organ you can manage to find. Kidney, lung, spleen, stomach, brain, thymus, reproductive organs, etc.

Base menu plan I use is 4 days bone in meats 2 days muscle meats(one of which NEEDS to be heart) 1 meal 2oz liver/2oz other organ Other meal whatever you like This gives me a ton of leeway for feeding a wide variety of meats, and/or substituting when I find a good sale on something
