Hello everyone! I got my first ferret baby today, he's about 3 months old and I'm trying to switch him onto some Nature's Variety raw medallions. The problem is, no matter what I do he acts like it's the worst thing in the world and spits every last piece out. Suggestions?

Have you watered it down a bit? He doesn't understand it's food. Pop some into his mouth and see what happens ciao

I try this and he squeals like I'm poisoning him (because he's a brat) and shakes all the food out of his mouth. I'm worried because he hasn't eaten since yesterday before 3PM and it's 8AM now. How long before I should start getting worried? I've tried different flavors and different consistencies and temperatures. Do I just keep at it and only offer him this?

I did have to keep prying open my Phoebe's mouth to feed her gravy. Very stubborn. Also hold them in your lap talk sweet and periodically offer food from your finger, if they refuse. Daub mouth. Let them down and repeat every two or three minutes--dont give in.
Mine liked the rabbit formula medallions and the chicken forum soupie--- and I had a time getting her off chicken soupies. once she was hooked,I used the rabbit gravy on slivers of chicken then to bigger pieces.

Update! He gnawed on a chicken wing for about 30 minutes before burying it into his dirty litter box. He still wont eat the raw medallions though!
