The pantry has a strong magnetic lock that I haven't seen him beat. The problem is that he has this 6th sense that tells him a door is about to open, and he's usually there before me. Front and back doors, fridge, bathrooms and this pantry. Literally every time I open this pantry I have to pull him out. This time I didn't notice him. Silly me. Yeah, and he's teaching Diego some tricks. Diego is one of the smartest Marshall's we've had. But he and Zoe are so affectionate we can't get mad. lol

I am jealous. Mine will not nap with us. My hubbie did get to hold my Phoebe for a 5 minute nap when we first got her off craigslist. Since then---nada:(

AAAAAARRGGHH!! I won't kill him! I won't kill him! Zoe is the sweetest ferret ever. She is all kisses and cuddles, like no ferret we've had. The other ferrets lover er too. Except for Scamps. Poor Zoe has to spend hours alone in the cage or out with just Abita because it's not fair to cage her because of Scamps. But every time he is out he hunts her down. Tonight I'm cleaning the cage and Zoe is up top alone. I had to vacuum under the litter box area, so I put her downstairs for a few sec. Sure enough, Scamps is in there in a second and chases her into a hanging tunnel. dooking and squealing, so I grab him out of the tunnel but he's already got hold of her neck, so there's his dumba$$ hanging from my hand with Zoe hanging from his teeth. So Jr gets to sleep alone tonight. He is great at figuring stuff out on his own, but he just won't learn ... crikey

This is amazing as my male does the same thing. I let my girls out in house every other day and leave him in the ferret room to wander. As soon as he crawls out of cage, he goes dooking and hunting them. I have a fresh respect for those bigger males now that my Annabelle has a broke leg after tangling with him. She chased him thru the house, but it was over for her when she caught him.

Scamp gets into a lot of trouble because he is so smart and gets bored quickly. But he is so perfect physically All muscle fur and brains. He's frikkin awesome. He's training Diego so I'm never alone when they are awake. I'm working on training Scamps on the leash and he's pretty good but there's only so many places I can take him...

Scamps is officially 3.5 lb now. His mentee, Diego, is the next largest male at 2 3/4 lb. That's 25% difference. I will try to get a pic today.

Diego (2 1/2 lb) on the left. Scamps (3 1/2 lb) on the right. Diego is about a year older, and a Marshall. Scamps is 1 1/2 yo, and a Real Canadian. Not bad for a selfie, eh? IMG_1435 by unclejoe1158, on Flickr

wow he's huge!!!! and gorgeous He does look huge. I always got that impression form pics in that position, lol. A 14 inch ferret looks 2 ft anyway. Scamp is bigger than most American ferts, but our Jaffa was near 4 lb most of his life. He was private bred, an "accident." Scamps is from a mill, albeit Canadian. I sure hope he goes 8 years+ like his millmate, Miss Prissy. Sherry He is still very active and full of surprises, but he he is starting to show a softer side. He likes his cuddles and he wants to spend time with me. He follows me around begging for attention. We can cuddle for 5 minutes at a stretch and he has fallen asleep in my lap more than once. THEN, he'll wake up and go raise heck, but not like when he was a kit, tearing stuff up for kicks, but more in an exploratory way. Except he regularly knocks my water mug onto the floor from my nightstand... And his winter coat is soooo soft. PLEASE let him stick around 8+ more years. I was devastated when he ran off and probably the best day of 2017 was when he came home on his own. Dar and I both cried. I love all 7 but he is 1:1,000,000 My little Dooners IMG_1295 by unclejoe1158, on Flickr
