Beatiful animals although I am fascinated by the Opossum! I've actually never seen one as a pet before, do they make good pets?

Yeh, she's not like a Virginia possum, she's just little and very sweet They're actually marsupials but with no pouch. And her tail is very strong and almost prehensile (she can't hang of it but uses it to balance and climb and gather bedding) She eats a varied diet, with big mix of some fruits, veggies and lots of protein (mostly bugs but pinkie mice too) She's very playful and curious, and tolerates petting but mostly just wants to climb and explore She's super active and loves her wheel and exploring the house in her ball Also, the females in particular love to nest. We hung a hammock in her cage (big wire hamster type with climbing vines and things) and we give her newspaper strips and care fresh bedding and she'll take the strips and weave them into and almost perfect ball in her hammock! It's so fun to watch! She gathers the paper up in her tail and takes it for a run on her wheel (so funny!) and then builds with it. She's a very clean little critter, except on her wheel, she poops while she runs and we're always cleaning it 😆 They're awesome little animals, I'd never heard of them but saw them at a local reptile show and fell in love (instantly went home to research) and went back the next year and got in touch with the breeder and eventually got Luna
