Does anyone have any experience with chinchillas? I was feeding mine the oxbow chinchilla pellets but didn't know if I could feed him the oxbow organic rabbit pellets? The ingredients are very similiar, protien/fiber/etc is the same. I want to get him on an organic diet but they don't have one for chinchillas, only rabbits.

I cant say that I have much experience with Chinchillas myself as the two we own are my GF's beasties and I am not so sure which pellets she feeds (ill ask when she gets home from the horses).
Something I can strongly reccommend to help ease the cost of the herbs and foilage is to plant your own herbs. I bought several different live herbs from the supermarket for a £1 each and repotted them into larger pots to grow them on. I then trim a little selection of fresh herbs for them each day until the herbs die off in winter. Much cheaper than dried herbs, far better for them, and they absolutely love them. Carefully not to overfeed them as it can make their stools runny.
