Alright so I posted about a little sprite I had just rescued a couple hours ago. She is right now sleeping happily in her blankie.
So far she weighs 1 lb. 3 oz. Her teeth are in awful shape. I was told she was a year old but from what Sherry has seen she believes she is an older animal. Her nails looked like they haven't been clipped in forever. They had to be almost a half inch long. She feels pretty skinny to me but she's pretty small as well. Either she might down the road develope insulinoma or she has hurt a leg. She trips over a certain rear leg when she is out and about so I will just keep a good eye out make sure she's eating and watch for insulinoma. She will be seeing a vet about her her teeth and overall health soon. I need to make an appointment and get quotes on what I need to test for.
My concerns are the switching part. Her teeth are pretty bad. Should I just try and switch her over to a soupy? Or do you think she can eat bone?
Also should I just do a BG test on her at the vet to have a a a base?

Thank you for taking her in! Surely soupie is a good idea, or even grinds/pudding texture, it'll be easy on her teeth and she will gain some weight.
She absolutely needs a BG test, she may really need insulinoma medication. I'm not sure if I remember the correct fb post, did she have a swollen vulva? I would consider the adrenal option as well.
Good luck with her!

Good luck with her! I have decided soupy is the way to go. I thought so about the BG test. You know I don't know how long it's been since she has had exercise so I am trying to put that into perspective to. If it's been for ever since she's been out the lack of muscle mass would makes sense. Her vulva isn't extremely swollen it's just a tad bigger than normal which would make me think more of an irritation than adrenal. If it starts getting bigger than I will implant her and go from there. Thanks she is doing well this morning. I think I have interrupted her schedule because I put her into the play pen she played for 15 minutes and then wanted to snuggle back in the blankies again. Well what we consider her play she doesn't really know how to play. She more ate and picked up some toys I gave her and put them where she wanted lol She was in wood shavings for God knows how long so I just assume she is in love with really soft blankies.

Pretty sure she is a little Waardy judging by her head and her short tail.
