not sure what to say. I'm Nannah, 25 years old. I own two ferrets, Misio (a male, Mee-sho meaning "teddy bear" in Polish) and Kinga (female). both 2-3 years old. I got them in February of this year, so I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to ferret care, but I've wanted ferrets since Elementary school, when my teacher had a class pet ferret named Cocoa. about me . . . well, I'm disabled and still live with my mother, but we're pretty good roommates. I have three dogs as well as the ferrets and a chicken, too, haha. I'm hoping to get disability benefits, but the process so far has taken 3 years (uffda), and still waiting. :/ anyway, uh, here's my face:

Hi!, I'm new too! 20 yo and I'm going to be moving in with my parents in a week. How do your ferrets get along with your dogs? My parents have a dog and I'm not sure what to expect, I know some do really well with dogs and mine do fine with my cat but I'm worried about how they'll react. What do you feed yours?

thanks for the greetings. and @demigod, it's a mixed bag. one of the dogs get along very well with them (and I swear Misio has a huuuuuge crush on her), and one of the dogs, who's super old, can't care less about them, and then one of the dogs went straight for the ferrets' throat as soon as he met them. so mostly they're kept separate. the ferrets are downstairs with me, and the dogs are upstairs (except the dog Misio has a crush on - I let her downstairs, haha). I think it all depends on the dogs and the ferrets. and the type of dog. some are bred to hunt small animals, like the one that went for their throat. :S I don't know. right now I'm feeding them ok kibble, but I'm going to transition them to raw food.

Yeah, I'll want to introduce them slowly but our dog is pretty old now, 14 or 15, and the ferrets will probably stay in my room most of the time I want to try transitioning to raw once they move, they're on Blue Wilderness Kitten rn.

I love your hair (and eyes)! The colour and cut is very nice~ I was a ferret newbie last year. I can still remember the excitement prior and after bringing them home. Oh and not to mention the scent. For some reason the musky scent a ferret has kept me awake for the first few nights. Had to resist running to them and sniffing their coat like some weirdo... Ha...ha....(doesn't stop me now though....) <.<

aaa thanks! that's so nice to say. <3 oh my gosh, I'm glad I'm not the only person who loves ferrets' scents. my mom thinks I'm so strange, but I looooove smelling my ferrets! a friend of mine loves it too, so we've got another person on our side, haha!
