ok! so I ordered some stuff from rodent pro (tho I kinda wished I'd have asked you what would be a good starting order would be. . . ). it was a good cyber monday deal at least! also, they're still not great with organ meat. :/ little rascals. SPEAKING of rascals, Kinga is starting to get a little aggressive over food! when Misio eats, she'll even try to steal it right out of his mouth, and they'll fight over that mouthful, something they've never done before. this evening, Misio just laid flat and refused to eat until I spoon-fed him and kept Kinga away.

Food fights happen often. You may find that Misio will just let Kinga have her fill and then he will eat when she is sleeping or not paying attention. I'm so excited for you to get some whole prey in!

Pretend you found them pooping in your pantry! lol Now chop em up and hand feed them to your little beasties! (giggle) You can start just by cutting them open and showing them to them, if that doesn't prompt a lick you can rub a bit of the bloody meat on their mouth, gently of course. If those things do not work then chop and hide in food lol

hey . . . sorry for the long wait. -___- the good news is that my mom is out of surgery and is doing well! she might be able to come home next week. :') the ferrets are really stubborn still. :/ they flat-out REFUSE to eat their organs. beef-heart night is ok, they eat that just fine (thank goodness!). organ mix night is fairly ok, too. they do all right. but the Sunday meal, the liver + other organ meat (in this case brain) . . . they're like and will barely have a couple bites, even with salmon oil, and even with cutting the organ bits smaller. they eat the brain in the organ mix, so I'm not sure what the problem is. the liver?? they ate that in the soupie stage, so I'm just confused and frustrated. they simply won't eat it, even if I leave it out for a while--and then that night they're frantic searching for food to eat and I'm like . . . (POINTS TO DISH OF ORGANS). smh also . . . what would be a good order from rodentpro? I'm very ignorant. :S are there products on the site they can't eat? what kind of variety should I get? I have no idea what to fill that big ol' box with. my first order was really small, just the tiniest little mice, because I had no idea what to get, haha. with all the surgery stress, I haven't had a chance to try feeding the prey to the little buggers, but I'm going to try tomorrow morning. (and I was stupid enough to leave the mice out too long in the fridge, so they spoiled. way to waste money, self! smh smhhhh) ok Anyway!! I hope you've been well!

So sorry it has taken me a couple of days to get here! As for the organs try to a complete mix of hearts and organs soup for them. So instead of 1.5 meals of each you will have 3 heart/organ soup meals. See if that helps. Whole prey to order would be adult mice, med/large rats, med/large guinea pigs, retired breeder quail. I'm so glad they are doing well otherwise!

oh dang, and I'm so sorry it took me so long to get back to you getting back to me! here I'll tag you to make sure you see this FireAngel. so I've tried incorporating the little mice into the ferrets' diets with nooooooo luck! on their own, they hated them! omg. Kinga's face was priceless, and Misio wouldn't even let me do more than rub it on his mouth. he then ran away and rubbed his face into the carpet, haha. so later I tried to mix it in with other bone-in meats, and nope! no luck here either, hahaha. Kinga would put one in her mouth and spit it back out, even with me mixing stuff around on the plate. the best was Misio though: he accidentally took a little half of a mouse in his mouth, chewed twice, and spat it back out with the most miserable expression on his face. it was sooo hilarious I think I snorted and got water up my nose. do I keep trying? do you have another trick?

LOL that sounds hilarious! Yes just keep trying, keep putting it in their mouths. Cut them open and get the blood on their lips. With this and all things in transition you have to out stubborn them. You have done a great job! Would you mind posting a current menu for them?
