Keep in mind that was 2010, a lot of zoo's are feeding more species appropriate diets these days (at least the good ones). The wolverine diet for the wolverines at Toronto zoo was disgusting a decade ago (mink food supplemented with some whole prey). I went a few years ago and actually talked to the Wolverine staff. They are mostly feeding whole meat these days. Apparently they were getting tired of the teeth issues they were running into and the frequency of cleanings needed.
I think it might also have come from being involved with the Canadian B.F.F project.
