... the arrival of their four little ones on Thursday 19th May, safe and sound. The gorgeous Dolly who lost her own litter a week before is being aunty and is much happier with Fern than split from her. These lucky babies have two Mums. Fern and Dolly Dolly But Fern won't sit still!

I am indeed. I am going down to working part time in a month or so to make sure I have plenty of time for all these little ones. I'm very lucky I also have a long list of friends who all want to come over and have play afternoons with the babies when they are old enough.
I'm very pleased and proud of my girls but also quite take aback ... last year I only had 9 kits out of 3 litters so I expected similar this year.

LoL congratulations !!! you maybe saying expensive surprise by the time they are 8 weeks old lol take care bye for now Bev I will definitely be saying they are an expensive surprise. My £120 worth of raw food bought in a week or so ago I can see is not going to be lasting all that long with all these mouths. No matter, I expect feeding litters will probably cost me near to £600 this year ... but I don't spend my time or money on anything else much so I don't mind Gonna cost me even more when I decide to keep most of them

I love it when the colours start coming in What are your odds that one will turn out to be a panda do you think? The little one on the right with no real colour to the head or back end, just shoulder and saddle area?

The little one on the right with no real colour to the head or back end, just shoulder and saddle area? I hope zero odds of panda to be honest .... I am trying to stay away from pandas and blazes. As far as I know there is no panda/blaze in the line, having said that a mitted sable has cropped up in Mischief's litter which is fathered by the same hob as these little ones. I am betting on silver as they get the dark across their shoulders first

We are both wrong!
Colours through today at 2 weeks old and we have two champagne sables and two sables. I cannot wait for them to be up and about - Dolly is going to have 2 mini-mes and Fern will have 2 mini-mes. That is a photo opportunity I cannot miss! Perfect little litter!

It seems it won't be long before they are out and about. These little ones develop markedly quicker than the bigger kits, and often eyes open on my kits from 3 weeks onwards. One of Fern's jill kits has one eye open this evening at 15 days old To say they are growing up fast is an understatement! Will get a pic tomorrow.
