I was just about to post another aww video (although for me it was more of a sobbing video) but I guess I'll share it on your post. Double aww?

That is pretty amazing! But I cannot get over the people who complain about the family who had to turn him over to the shelter. What would they prefer? Him turned into the shelter for care, or left to suffer because the family couldn't pay for his care? Idiots!

Both are awesome stories...I agree with you, Sherry. They cared enough about him to give him to someone that could afford his health care. That's so heartless of someone to judge those people--they've been through a lot, too

Yes, they have. I lived through a fire, where we lost everything. Thank heavens I had no pets then. I couldn't begin to imagine a situation where you've not only lost everything, but suddenly everyone is judging you because you can no longer afford the vet care that would have been easy prior?

That's terrifying I couldn't even imagine going through something like that... I know, I think that's very low to judge someone when, as hard as it is, they're making the right decision

Empathy seems to be a lost trait in humans these days.

Update to YOUR video here, jacksmomma! The vet performed the surgery for free, and the family will be getting him back once they are settled

Both amazing little dogs! Animals really never cease to amaze me. I am so glad that the family gets their dog back-I mean, it wasn't their fault a storm passed through and took bits of their lives with it. Shame on those who would blame them for being the best caregivers they can be even when it was hard.
