i was doing it that way actually and a lot of it was still going bad. ;l I think its the livers though. i think livers might just go bad a lot faster than other stuff

They shouldn't go bad if kept in the freezer & only pull a meals worth at a time.
Organs go bad a lot faster if left in the fridge

Yes! Provided the meat has been handled safely, frozen & semi-thawed meat is safe.
I feed their food frozen a couple times a week

You can definitely give it frozen - GREAT treat in the summer, and a little mental stimulation getting their food in different forms. Also, what I sometimes do is keep a little plastic dish in the fridge. I move one bag from freezer to fridge-dish to thaw, and the thawed one from fridge to cage.

It's been going good when I'm home. Gonna have to hide the kibble. So later his diet has been
Am Chicken wing with bone Gizzard
Pm chicken wing with bone Chicken hearts
And I throw in chicken livers here and there. I haven't really been keeping track of how much I gI've him half the wings and he pretty much finishes those and like 2 Gizzard or 2 hearts

Have you checked out an Asian grocery store? Stewing beef (cubed) or stir fry beef (strips) can be picked up anywhere & make a great muscle meat meal. As Maru is young, he should be fed as much as he will eat, and should always have food available to him. It's important to weigh the food so you know how much he is eating - that way in case of illness & seasonal changes, you know what's normal, and what should raise red flags.

He's eating a ton! Whole half a chicken wing about 4 -5 hearts. Hes a little pig. I have not been to an Asian market yet because I ended up getting a bunch of stuff already. Sorry for slow replies my parents are visiting from out of state and they brought my two cats to me finally. The introduction was..... well to say the least for 2 days they looked at him like he was weird and now they're buddies. Just have to watch them playing and make sure no one gets hurt. Yay for rubber nail caps so if one of the cats decides to take a swipe at him he won't get clawed.

I would be careful with those soft paws. If one falls off and Maru decides to snack on it it could be bad. They are small, but it doesn't take much to block up their thin little GI tracts. :/ I'm glad they seem to be getting along without too much drama so far! How is he doing on liver? What about proteins other than chicken? Even a standard grocery store typically carries pork and beef at a bare minimum.

It's great Maru is such an enthusiastic eater! Now that the kibble is gone, it's important we create a balanced menu. Monday AM: Chicken wings Monday PM: Chicken wings Tuesday AM: Chicken wings Tuesday PM: Gizzards Wednesday AM: Chicken wings Wednesday PM: Hearts Thursday AM: Chicken wings Thursday PM: Chicken wings Friday AM: Chicken wings Friday PM: 1/2 heart + 1/4 liver (+ 1/4 other organ eventually) Saturday AM: Chicken wings Saturday PM: Gizzards Sunday AM: Chicken wings Sunday PM: 1/2 liver + 1/2 other organ I've centered it around chicken only for now. The menu is important as it ensures Maru will get exactly what needs So I'd still like to see you post every other day what he eats & how much he eats, as well as what his poops look like. Switches bring on some very interesting poops, but they are also very telling. His poops will indicate his bone requirements, as well as any intolerances to new proteins.
