Yesterday, I had a lesson on how to load a boxcutter at Lowes This is not about ferrets tangling up with another animal, but about me finally caving in. We have two spare bedrooms. One is a ferret bedroom with linoleum on the floor. The other bedroom is carpeted, and I have grown too tired fighting the ferret pooh in this room. So today, I am taking my box cutter and taking up carpet and will put down linoleum. So to save some money---- I am taking up the carpet myself. Thankfully, I watched some guys take up carpet before. The trick is to cut carpet in several strips, so one will not have a massive roll to contend with. Other tips: if you have free roamers, lock them in a room for about 15 minutes or so when feeding, so they will stash in a limited area. I am trying to do this now, as I have had to move a heavy wrought iron bed(same room) to recover stashed meat. edited: Finished getting carpet up. Will tackle tack strips and staples another day.
