The water is the only thing I've seen her try to get on her own. She's never eaten willingly from the syringe. I have to scruff her and dribble it into the corner of her mouth. I've had to do the from the start of all this.
Have you ever seen pred help? As of today her dose doubles.

I'm so sorry that the news wasn't better! Poor little girl. I'm praying for you both, I know this must be hard! Do what you think is best and give her lots of hugs and kisses

Pred can definitely help them feel better, and has also helped shrink tumours on occasion. TBH I would also be treating her for ulcers as they are more than likely present and will be causing her some pain when she eats. Carnivore care for diet right now, carafate and antibiotics for her ulcer(tarry stools), and pred for the growth.

AND buprenorphrine for pain until the other meds kick in.

I'm so sorry the news wasn't good. What and adorable little thing she is. I obviously don't have as much experience as many here, but my local ferret shelter Mom said that chemo works surprisingly well on ferrets, at least compared to its success rate on cats and dogs.
My parents' cat had exactly the same tumor, very advanced (my parents didn't vet her until I came along). She died during the sedation for her tests. But I just wanted to mention that she seemed to position herself so that the food would go down easier, with her neck stretched low and forward and her shoulders hunched up, body low to the ground. I think it was to open up the esophagus as much as possible. So there might be a position that's optimal for feeding your little girl, maybe stretched out long and lying down on her stomach?
She still looks so lively. I don't think I would put her to sleep yet, rather see how things go with the medications. But you will know what's best for her. I'm sorry, and hang in there.

Thank you everyone for your support.
Sherry, I'll ask my vet about those medications. I had to look up what Carnivore Care was. It looks like I might be able to get that from Petco or Petsmart. So I should feed that -instead- of her kibble mix, right? (Her kibble mix is Ultra 8-1 & ZuPreem ~ made into a powder with my blender and then blended again with water.)

I'm thinking along with, though I'm not familiar with kibble soupies. Another thing you might try is bone soup. I mix this with the carnivore care (it seems to make it more palatable). These are things I do for my sickies ciao

I can only get carnivore care from my vet here, so no idea where else it may be available. Bope broth is good too. Use a chicken or turkey carcass, add in about a tbsp of apple cider vinegar, put enough water to cover bones in a slow cooker, and put it on low for 24 to 48 hours. You should be able to mush the bones between your fingers when it is done. Throw it in a blender and strain it. Any bits not pureed toss.

You can buy Carnivore Care on Amazon, and probably some other online shops.
Edit: Ninja'd from out of the Blue.

I am really sorry. Lymphoma just sucks. We (at the clinic) have done some chemos on ferrets, but the best survival rate was up to few months ... I would not done it on my ferret, it is not "worht" it. I would try with high doses of prednisolone/dexamethasone. But still ... the improvement (if any) is usually for mere few weeks, than it strikes back. Really sorry for the diagnose

Tasia lost her battle today. She had been so willful that I was really hoping we would beat this. She was still walking around and at times would even run and play. Yesterday when out and about she stumbled a couple of times but that was it and would get back up. This morning she had a bit more resistance to eating but she did eat. After I fed her I left to drop my dogs off at the vet (non-exotic vet). Soon as I got back I tried to feed her again but she wouldn't let me get the syringe in her mouth. I set her down and she couldn't stand well. She would try but then fall over. Her body was giving up on her. Either she didn't respond to the medicine or the medicine didn't help fast enough. We never did try to do chemo. My vet called around to other vets but couldn't find the starting drug of choice, "elspar". If that has any other name I don't know what it's called, that's all the vet wrote in the email. She had set me up with another vet who came up with an alternative protocol, but that was supposed to be today, unfortunately Tasia's strength didn't make it to today. Nevertheless, I appreciate all the help and support. Thank you guys. I know I just randomly barged into this forum with a sick ferret but I'd still like to post about Tasia on the rainbow bridge. TBH, not sure how often I'll make it back. I'm not very good with making time for forums. (Don't get me wrong, I love forums! I just have a hard time making time for them.) People are lucky enough to get semi-utd posts on facebook, heh. Also: I did have to buy the Carnivore Care on Amazon. I tried 3 different pet stores, plus Tractor Supply (for just in case), and called 5 surrounding exotic vets. No one carried it. One of the vets used to carry it but discontinued it.
