This is my Siberian Forest Cat, Nevadelia Lotus Blossom. We call her "Delia" half the time, and "Don't Eat That!" the rest of the time. I rescued her from death row at the shelter - she was very sick when I got her. I cannot fathom anyone ditching this gorgeous girl! She's the most loving cat I've ever met.

She's gorgeous! Exactly the kind of cat I would like to own if I wasn't severely allergic to cats

Oh, she's a beauty!!! And yeah, if she's a genuine Siberian, I'm also amazed anyone would dump her Just had to google the breed ;D They were first imported to the US in 1990! Evidently they are pretty rare over here still: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siberian_(cat)

Ooooo, she is lovely. That is so sad that someone would give up on such a beautiful kitty, it makes my heart hurt every time I hear something like that. She is VERY lucky to have you!

Your kitty is beautiful, I've heard they're wonderful and dog like in their desire to be with their people. I wonder.... I did a rescue quite awhile ago. I had 4 ferrets turned in by a fellow. This was when I worked as a foster for a larger rescue. This person dumped these 4 fuzzes off, said he didn't have time for them as he was traveling on his way to the east coast. The shelter director asked for their names but he said he had never named them, stating that the little girls name was Tinkerbell when she pushed him for names. The little girl ( was placed immediately but later turned into me, little Zena) the boys I took home. Four months later, this fellow returned with a woman stating that he had placed the ferrets in rescue to get back at his girl friend and that he wanted them back now. We decided to state that the ferrets had a forever home and that we were sorry but we couldn't remove them from their homes and that it wasn't good for them to be shoved from one place to another just because he had a fight with his girlfriend. Little Mischief, never really recovered from being dumped but did find a forever friend in his chosen buddy, Napoleon. I wonder if a cat as rare as your beauty found itself in a shelter in such a manner. It does happen a lot more frequently than one would like to think. People can be so harsh in their anger to one another. ciao

Wow, what a beautiful cat! Heather that is truly horrible. Treating pets that way really makes me sad.
