Yeah, I thought that the smelly poops might be related to the new atmosphere and change of diet, but I just thought it safe to mention it just to be safe. Thanks for the feedback FireAngel - you have really been a wonderful helper to me and the fuzzies through this process!
Sure! I meant to post the menu last night, but I was accessing the forum via phone, and that device is far more difficult for me to type and edit on (as is obvious from my previous post!).
My weekend is Sunday and Monday so my menu begins on Tuesday, and here goes:
Tuesday AM: 1 1/2 oz. chx neck
Tuesday PM: 1 oz. chx heart, 1/4 oz. chx liver. 1/4 oz. beef liver, 1/2 oz. goat tripe with one egg yolk
Wednesday AM: 1 1/2 oz chx back
Wednesday PM: 1 1/2 oz muscle meat (goat)
Thursday AM: 1 1/2 oz. trky neck
Thursday PM: 1 1/2 oz. chx neck
Friday AM: 1/4 oz. chx liver, 1/4 oz. beef liver, 1/2 oz/ beef liver, 1/2 oz. muscle meat (pork rib tips)
Friday PM: 1 1/2 oz. chx neck
Saturday AM: 1 oz. muscle meat (chicken gizzard), egg yolk
Saturday PM: 1 1/2 oz. chx back
Sunday AM: 1 oz. chx heart, 1 oz. muscle meat (chx thigh)
Sunday PM: ! !/2 oz chx neck
Monday AM: 1 1/2 oz. trky neck
Monday PM: 1 1/2 chx back
So, that is how I set out the menu for this week. I have a variety of muscle meats, but that is really so little a part of their dietary needs that I can flip it up weekly, and always provide at lease one red meat meal. I mentioned this previously, but I am going to purchase some quail and Cornish game hen to switch up the bone-in meals a bit. Any other suggestions in this regard. I can get frog legs, but I'm a bit squeamish in the regard - ironically I love the colorful super-poisonous frogs, but the others I only like to see in cartoon. But, we do have an awful lot of frogs down here, and I can purchase their legs no problem. I'm not sure which rib bones may be appropriate?
Also, Kai is eating well; muscle, bone, organ, heart, and all. Our new fuzzie, little Miss Koko for now, has taken a definite interest in the raw food for sure. She even grabbed a chx neck vertebrae this AM, and then proceeded to demolish it! She ate all of her soupie this morning too, and very little of the kibble. I gave her no additional kibble tonight. As a matter of fact, when I crushed the kibble on her soupie this AM the only bits left in the ramekin where some of the kibble! Kai is teaching her well, and they are getting along nicely. I'm pleased; I was a bit worried at first, but all seems to be moving along just right.
I'm going to clean up their habitat again because it really is quite stinky, and I believe it may help with the transition?, but other than that all is well. Justin did take some photos - it's just that I'm not so technologically inclined, and we are both rather busy with our own projects - he's out again tonight filming so he does understand this stuff better than I do for sure, but he's occupied. (Sorry!) Koko is already looking more plump, and is a lot less skittish and nippy for sure, but she sure is squirmy! I've been able to give her kisses, but she hasn't learned to give us licks - yet!
Thanks For All The Help and Inspiration -
Best!
