Hi! I was going to reply yesterday night but I was super tired. I look forward to the weights and photos~ Jack is eating the meat, that's a great sign~ Is he being hand fed with the slivers? or is he now eating the slivers willingly from a plate? When he starts to eat willingly by himself without any encouragement, then you could remove the kibble and leave the raw in with him so he can eat when ever he needs to. As long as there is food available all the time then Jack shouldn't get any low BG regardless of it being raw or kibble. Do you check his BG? The other guys are on slivers too? How are they going?

Just wanted to add that if he isn't quite up to slivers on his own, will be eat the soup on his own? If so I would remove the kibble, and leave soup in his cage during the day and hand feed the slivers. The sooner you can get the kibble out of his diet the better for his pancreas and BG. That said, we have to be sure he is still eating often enough.

So, Molly stopped eating First she was "smacking" her mouth and I thought she might have gotten a hair or something stuck, so I left her be, she wasn't grinding her teeth Now looking at her, she's thin, and her scruff is maintaining shape
I'm going to start hand feeding her soups

That would be a good idea. Can I also suggest you hand feed her slivers as well. That way you can encourage her more so she will eat on her own.

I don't think she's not eating because she doesn't want to... Today she officially vomited she has a vet appointment tomorrow

@arwen that's shocking news. will you have an autopsy done to find the cause of death? I'm sorry for being away, I'm having internet issues at the moment but I should be back on Monday for sure. I'm so sorry about Molly.

Hey @arwen, I can understand that it may be a tough time at the moment, but katt and I really need more frequent updates on how everyone is going, especially Jack. Even a simple comment just to let us know how everything is going will be fine for the moment. As your mentors we are here to help, and want to help you and your ferrets as much as we can, but unfortunately we cannot be of any assistance if we do not have any information or updates to go off of. Since you also have a ferret with Insulinoma, the more frequent updates (every couple of days) would be greatly appreciated. If you do feel that you need some time away, just let us know and we will understand. Thank you!
