I just feed my 2 ferrets (7 months and 9 months) and they loved it! they ate about half of one! (the older ferret liked it more) and i was wondering how many you can give them in a week or so?

Great news! I'm happy to hear that they enjoyed the quail eggs. They are smaller than normal chicken eggs which would be given 1-2 a week in non shedding season, and 3-4 in shedding season per ferret, So I would say probably around 3 eggs per week.

When you feed the quail eggs can you crush the shell up into pieces so they can have the entire thing?

I don't. I always worried that shell pieces would get stuck in throat---but maybe someone else will know and has possibly served them that way.

I've powdered the shell using a coffee grinder and added a pinch back that way--of course you have to dry them first.
