Well, who am I? Here it is:
I am a mom of 4 children, adult boys, teenager and 7 year girls. I am also a rabbit breeder (right now I am on brake), had them for 12 years and I am still rabbit show judge.
In home I have now:
- 9 year old purebred Irish red setter Goofy - don´t ever name any animals goofy as they will turn out that. It´s his giving name by breeder. We took him to make sure that my female purebred Irish setter is/was naturally sterile. Unfortunately she was, she is dead for years now - bone cancer, it was terrible time. She died when she was almost 10 years old. Miss her alot. She was first dog after my very first dog collie Dorothea, who lived with me half of my life during that time, but she passed away as uterous cancer when she was 13 years old.
- 2 year old female orange cat MoneyPenny, she is cute and stubborn.
- 9 month old chocolate ferret Smokey Liz / we call her Smuks. We took her in July 2015th and she is my frst ferret after decades of my very first sable polecat Tuki. I miss her a lot, she still have a special place in my heart and miss her alot. Smuks have amazing personality, she never bite, I can let her lick pure blood from my fingers and she woun´t bite.
- 4 year old sable mitt Käpik - she came to me as second hand ferret from one breeder who have terrible health issues. After 8 years breeding very good ferrets her healt went so bad that her medicaments made her severe allergic to ferrets that she needs sometimes inhaler to breath. Käpik have very nice personality but when I was forced to separate her from Gaia that Käpik and Smuks did not get along that time, to train her. Then she turned into mean one, and I got bitten from her. But as soon they all got along and living togheter she turned back into her sweetness and cuddly heart.
- almost 3 year old albino Gaia, who came to me with Käpik as second hand ferret. Gaia is a handful. As she wasn´t handled from her breeder when she was young and the breeder I got her, she did not plan to keep her eighter when and she did not handled her as well, but when she decided to keep her, Gaia was about 7-8 months old and had her wildness temper. She was mean one when we got her. Gaia bit her previous breeder so bad that her thumb nerve was damaged for 6 months and breeder was afraid of her. So she came to us. I started to teach her what she can or can not do, basically with words "NO, NO biting" and so on and a small flick on her nose or tweaking her from neck. Now she is so cute, she still likes to bite a bit on my hand, but she woun´t do that hard, just nibble, but I say right away to her "NO biting" and she stops and looks at me like asking "Are you sure, maybe a little...?" But she is such a sweetheart, she is my baby as everyone in home is a bit afraid of her, except my 7 year, she loves her too and me and my 7year old are the only ones who play with Gaia. She has wild polecat somewhere in her pedigree so thats why she is a bit wild.
I am so into animals and I am facinated about them, I do not know how to live without them. When I was in my teens I took wild viper kit into my home (found it in forrest and my mom did not know) I raised her there seceretly Mom foud out 3 years later that I had viper in home, she went nuts
Well, what else? I am stove/owen builder and will take blacksmiths course soon. My 2 month course will start in Feb13th. I love what I am doing. I never been so free as now. I can´t deal with rutines. I going nuts.
I make lots of handmade soaps, creams, toothpaste, shampoos and so on. I am natural eco mom
That´s why I feed my animals only prey and raw as I have seen so many animal deaths over the years because of the kibbles.
If you have question, ask.
