If you ARE in need of using something for if they get into some hard dried on muck, use some aveeno oatmeal soak.

How do you help promote a oily coat? Nei used to have a sleek and oily coat but over winter her coat has been very dry. I advise giving her a supplement for her coat such as salmon oil or light olive oil. She gets Salmon oil at least once a week when I add some to their organ meal. I also give when cutting their nails. Didn't give her more than that because I was afraid it would make their stools too runny.

And the smell! I made the mistake one time of giving them too much salmon oil. Anywhere they went was rank of fish and took a long time for the smell to go away where the pads were.

She done poofed her coat already, there are still some remnants of her winter coat but most of it I have combed off.

She might not have a glossy coat because she's not long moulted and her summer coat hasn't come through properly yet, Whisper's coat took a while to get glossy again after she moulted her winter coat off last year, it was glossy and shiny again after her summer coat had grown through properly.
