Has anyone put a fourth level on their FN? I have one that is double wide & three tall but I could use to add a fourth level. I'm considering removing the bases. My concern it that it might be too top heavy and pose a risk. So has anyone tried this? If so were there any safety issues?

Very interesting! If noone has ever done this on forum , you could call always call Ferret Nation and ask them. I think removing base would make it more stable, too. Not a carpenter, but attaching 4th one to studs in wall with eye bolts and tying it to that? ? Sorry, i enjoy trying to figure how to make things work out. I think it would be Midwest www.midwesthomes4pets.com/

I think I would be worried about it not being stable enough. I know even with the three level I am careful on how I move it to clean behind/under. With a fourth level I would seriously consider anchoring it to something at the top.

As far as the legs go, I would worry about it being too much weight for them to hold. I'd definitely call the FN folks. Suzie

I think the only safe way to do it would be to remove the legs and secure it to the wall. I wouldn't risk it otherwise.

Thanks. I'm trying not to attach it to a wall as I plan on having a room for them by the end of the year. So I"ll figure out another way to add more space.

it wouldn't be hard. You'd just need a single large eye-bolt, a short loop of chain and a small padlock. So only one hole to fill in and paint over if you decide to move it.
Just make sure the eye-bolt is anchored into a stud.

Do you have two sets of legs? you could do it horizontally.
