I came home to fine Percy the little sod has managed to eat pretty much a whole Clementine (small orange) there was two slices left and a bit of orange peel...
Since my being home I have seen him vomit twice and it has been a brown liquid
I don't think it is a blockage as he has been asking for food and running around like the normal loon that he is
Any advice will be appreciated, I realise vet advice is the best.
He must have stole the orange out of my handbag yesterday or this morning when he was out, I have no idea how he got it and I feel so bad
Abbie and a pukey Percy

The clementine has upset his stomach so vomitting and runny poops are expected for a day or two. Just out of curiosity is Percy a polecat? He look like a neutered polecat I saw for sale on pets4homes last year that was called Percy.

It's not going to kill him is it? been googling a very bad thing to do!
Yes he is a polecat and no I got him from my uncle who keeps ferrets (yet to call him for advice!)
I wouldn't purchase from a shop

Wow...my guys hate oranges, even the smell of them sends them running. Did he eat the insides or the outsides too (peel). If he at the outside I would watch for possible blockages, if he ate only the inside and spat the outside around, then other than a stomach upset you will probably get away with it. I assume these clementines are still seedless (as the stock gets older they do develop seeds) ciao

I wouldn't purchase from a shop No it shouldn't kill him as long as he stays hydrated but if you feel a vet visit is necessary then take him in the morning. Pets4homes isn't a pet shop, it's a website, I've used it a couple of times when buying ferrets, I don't think there is any pet shops that sell ferrets here in the UK now that I think about it. I have a polecat too, she's called Bandit. Don't hesitate to ask your uncle for advice though, he might have had a ferret eat something that it shouldn't have eaten.

Yes still seedlees he ate a fair bit of the outside and 90% of the inside
I feel such a bad "mum" right now.
Just called my uncle he laughed at me and said to let him puke it up and to make sure he has loads of water he should be fine
Must remember to empty my handbag of all food before sitting down when I get home.

@abster I agree, he'll probably avoid them like the plague now.

Following you around, scratching at your leg and looking up at you? Trying his hardest to get me to chase him to the fridge, running up to fridge hoping it will open by staring at it, being naughty so I chase him to fridge... the list is endless I'd rather this than him being lethargic and making me worry more!

Has he stopped vomiting? Let him have a chick or mouse. It will help clean out any of the residue pulp ciao

I've been there with Gabriel. He stole a cucumber and a tomato from the grocery bag. Ate about half of each. exploded his butt for the next couple of days but that was it. He goes after them atill. They never learn. Snoopy stashed a mouse leg a few weeks ago. Found it and ate it today (eeeew). Vomited shortly after....
Let him have some food, it'll help his tummy, especially whole prey.
