What pellets do you feed? Most pellets contain calcium carbonate, which is what most bladder stones are made of. I used to give my girls Oxbow but it would always cause excess calcium in one of my girls urine (and she has had a stone before so this was a big concern) even though she only gets a couple tablespoons a day. I switched them over to KMS, which uses a different form of calcium, and that made a big difference. Also avoid romaine lettuce. Its not high in calcium or oxalic acid, but for whatever reason it seems to contribute to sludge/stones. I feed oxbow that's what my vet said but I hardly give pets very little I give. I saw online about the kms pellets he goes back to the vet in a few days I'll ask her if she knows anything about it. I feed green or red leaf lettuce always. I only give romaine maybe once a month a little as a change.
