I have two ferrets a male albino I named Olaf and a female sable (having a hard time naming her any ideas?) I had them for 2 1/2 weeks weeks now and I have started their raw diet transition a week ago female is doing great male was slow at it at first but now doing awesome I am having a hard time getting hearts I have went to butchers,Asian markets other places well a butcher suggested a place that slaughters so I will be checking out that if not than I will have to go the online purchasing. They are now eating the soupy withs small bits in it. the butcher I found has quails and rabbits and other things. I'll be getting some this week

I'm glad your ferrets are taking a liking to the raw diet, you've got the best raw diet sources, whole prey is the best thing for them, mine have pigeons and rabbits. I have some names that might suit your jill, Pixie, Piper, Oreo or Cookie

I love the name game. Don't get me started. Try out some names and see if she responds then you will know her name. I like to know their personalities and then choose a name based on that. My favorite name is Tiegan which means little princess in a big valley but no one has fit that name yet.
Hearts can be a bit tough to find sometimes. You can order a supplement of Taurine Powder until you find hearts. 500mg per day per ferret would be the correct amount.
Google find Asian markets near your location and then check out Yelp for reviews of them to see if they have a good meat section. You might have to drive a bit. We drive about an hour away to Nashville once a month or so and stock up. Duck hearts are a huge favorite and a great way to get pricey duck in their menu. Tongue is a great substitute and has more Taurine then hearts. That's usually not hard to find.
You're doing quite well really after only one week. That's great!

If they are doing great with bigger pieces in the soup, try offering the bigger pieces with just a "topping" of soup(think gravy on fries) They will likely lick the soup off and start eating the pieces. Also, using chicken gizzards are a great way to strengthen their jaws enough to crunch through bones.

Just keep pushing them And if they are older and were eating that stuff you will want to keep an eye on their blood glucose levels
