Minor update, Marley had low BG the other day and had the beginnings of a crash; she was 58 on Saturday. I'm not sure if it's because she didn't want to eat much that morning, or if she didn't want to eat much because she didn't feel good. We got her calm and fed, plus warm, and she is doing very well today with a BG in the 90s. We are intro-ing another feeding into her day to see if she can cope that way, but if not we'll end up bringing her to the vet and renewing her pred dose. Really do not want to do that, she hates meds so much, and it didn't really help anyway. Regardless, we're on the same schedule she was on before; right at the beginning of the month. So her surgery isn't going to last a year, I guess. We've been so careful with her. :/
Everyone else is doing well! We aren't having many squabbles, though Lola and Myron play SO hard. We ended up getting some chicken fat and mixing that in as Marley refused duck. She's very picky. Putting skin in the soup was a hit, though; it took a while to kick in, but now they like it.

Oh poor Marley. Its so hard with the insus, never know how long it lasts. I'm glad you are testing bg's regularly. Pred may be the way to go but I agree that trying with food intake is a better option.
I'm glad we were able to find something that they liked to get them onto a new protein. Duck is high in fat and has a decent taurine level.

I probably test too much, honestly. Her little toes got bruised up after this last time, because of the constant re-checking to make sure she was going up and not down. She has been doing well for the moment, BG in the high 80s-100s. Her main issue with the crashes is that, from Jan 2015 - October 2015, she had crashes the first week of every single month. Our newest vet didn't believe me about the pattern, and scheduled her surgery on October 8th or so; she crashed the 5th, I believe. That was with pred, diaz, everything. Never knew why; our routine doesn't vary at that time, either. She has been playing the past few days, and I can usually tell immediately how she feels. She curls a certain way when she's good, and lays flat when she's in a bad spot. Lots of curls so far! I've caught Myron and Lola eating meat a few times this week, and they actually shared a bowl the other day....so might be time to get them on a soup diet. I'm super sick right now, but when I'm better, I'm going to once again remove all the kibble stashes (looking at Sax for that one) and pull the kibble up!

I saw that you were sick. That super blows.
Let me tell you a story. I spent months getting Rebel and Riot to move past the soup stage. They were so picky and I was so worried about Rebel with her insulinoma, I didn't want her to crash. I was feeding separately. I would put down bone in and chunks for the kits and then feed Rebel and Riot every 6 hours. One day, I heard munching coming from the den. I looked in and saw Rebel eating a whole chicken wing. She was barely on slivers at this point! I was shocked. Sometimes they just switch themselves. If they are eating meat, when you are better, pull that kibble!! (dance)
And for proof, here is a video of Rebel eating that chicken wing.

Looks like everyone is staying fairly study. Myron isn't bad so no worries there.
It looks like it didn't update. I hate it when that happens.

Everything is good right now! Weights are holding, Marley's bg is staying back up in the high 80s-90s. We're trying to get her in for an appointment to talk about her monthly lows, but they were booked up solid last week. Not looking forward to potentially going back on meds, but she might need them. If she has another drop in sugar, it'll be this week or next. Lola has become very integrated into the family, which is great - we were having TONS of problems at first, but now she is cuddling with everyone, and very loveable.

I think I have already told you this but make sure to get carafate with the pred. Helps with the tummy and will be good while switching as well
I'm glad Lola is integrating well.
Weights are a good thing. Remember with spring approaching you may see some weight loss which is completely normal.

Yep, you did mention it! We still have some on hand from last time around.
Marley dipped a little yesterday, so hopefully that was her "crash" - my bf has started working daytime hours, so I worry about her when no one is home. She was in the 90s today, so we're keeping on top of it.
We've had a ton of sneezing going around these past few days; I think it's something to do with the plants coming to life, and the heat still being on.
Marie and Jane are becoming a little more socialized; they were neglect cases (2 years locked up min w/o handling, Marie was probably more, weights were low and hygiene issues), so they've always been a little weird, but Marie is actively seeking me out and Jane has started cuddling a little. Marie is getting SO light; she came to me a medium sable, and now parts of her are almost white. Mostly the parts that came back after we started melatonin, oddly.

I didn't know that about Marie and Jane. Those poor babes. It sounds like you are doing right by them and I'm glad they are coming along.

They're definitely coming along! Marie was cuddling with me this morning. It's good because she's settling down, but at the same time, her age is starting to show. Bittersweet. I'm going to post some updated weights tonight or tomorrow - it seems like everyone is holding, but it's always hard to tell by feel. We've been making some progress getting Sax to actually eat from the bowl, which is essential since my partner just started a full-time work week. Marley is still refusing to eat any substantial amount except from the tube. I'm kind of okay with that just because we have so many and it's important that we know her intake, but it would be nice if she could be relied on to snack when she's feeling low.

Weight update!
The short version is that everyone is getting fatter but Marley, who's been on longest, so I think that's okay? Her weight was a non-eating weight before her most recent meal. Let me know if you want some updated body-hanging pics to see how they're looking.
Sax: 1lb 13.6oz up from 1lb 13oz
Myron: 3lb 4.8oz (is this too much? he's starting to feel very chunky) up from 2lb 14.5oz
Marley: 1 lb 11oz down from 1lb 12.2oz
Marie: 2lb 0.9oz up from 1lb 14.2oz
Jane: 2lb 5.7oz (too much? she has a big lower belly now) up from 2lb 4.1oz
Lola: 2lb 4.2oz up from 2lb 1.4oz

Yay thanks for the update.
Jane, don't worry about her weight yet. They often get a little pudgy, their bodies are holding on to all of the good nutrients they are finally getting and it'll taper off. ?
Marley, an ounce loss is not a big deal, I wouldn't worry. But lets keep track of it and makes sure she isn't trending downwards. As far as her eating, yes, right now, lets make sure she is getting the proper amount. Once she is on chunks and bones, she should be able to go longer without food. Chunks and bones take a little longer to digest. How much is she eating daily?
Myron, oh man, what a chunker! Haha! he should be okay. He is on soup yes? How much is he eating per day? Ferrets tend to over eat on soup since its easier to eat. He may slow down and slim up when they start eating chunks.
