Forgot to say this.....last night I noticed Gomez was open and closing his mouth like 1 time maybe 2. Then tonight when we got home he was doing it again several times, like slow motion but like chewing the cud, like a cow does. Was not grinding.

Oh geez.. when I said to tag someone if you had an emergency tonight, I didn't mean you were SUPPOSED to have an emergency! Like Sherry said, the vomit does look like the soup, like maybe he ate too fast. But he's still having off poops. That could be simply from upset and stress from vomiting or it could mean he has something wrong. His last night's poop picture was very yellow. What did he have to eat just before that one? The 'fish mouth' (open & closing) could also possibly indicate an upset stomach or it could be an irritating hair in his mouth or throat. There are just so many things that it COULD be that it's hard to say what it is for sure. How is his activity? Does he still want to eat and drink? Is he still pooping without straining?

Another thought... he's having to share your attention with Jax now. Even if he likes Jax, the change can cause stress, which in turn can cause an upset system and bad poops.

Hey....to us it was an emergency and scary to come home to that.
So last night just before that poop his dinner was 2 ounces of thick soupie with turkey chunks. Second time with turkey in awhile and ate it.
This morning as I said earlier was long skinny strips of beef steak and some soupie. I fed him while Jami was feeding Jax. Gomez ate as normal but did not like the long strips, I wonder if he was not chewing.....he appeared to be chewing. Didn't eat fast, he is still eating with us sitting there so was not alone. He did eat another ounce of soupie with bone meal and drink some water. He is pink on pads and gums.

We both feel it might be the stress of getting a new fuzzy...although we are very attentive to both one or the other of us being with them or holding one. They are not together a lot only to play a little and that is it.

I didn't mean to imply at all that it was not an emergency. I would have considered that an emergency also. It could be something serious, although I think this time it is not. He's had quite a few changes in the last few days and change causes stress (even good stress is still stress) and when something happens with these little guys (like vomiting for whatever reason) it can cause a domino effect.
Make a note that the turkey made looser yellow poops. I want to see if that happens again next time he has turkey. The beef strips should not have caused the problem. He's eaten beef before and never had a problem. My guess is that he got a little frustrated by having to chew the beef, so when he was turned loose with the soup, he ate it too fast and then threw it up, which started a chain reaction. Let's see how his next poop is. (Check your private messages.)
Also, just FYI, when tagging someone, you need to hover your mouse over their profile name to see what their username is. For example, if you hover over your profile, you'll see that your username is 'scarlett', rather than 'scarlett & jami'. Then type the '@' symbol with the username. So to tag you, I would type '@ scarlett' (without the space). Sherry's username is 'admin', so to tag her you have to type '@ admin' (without the space). MOST usernames are the same as the profile name, but a few are different and that's why your tags didn't work.

Is he pawing at his mouth as well? Read PM. Breakfast - give him plain old chicken soup. Go ahead and give him the regular chunks in it, but don't try anything new or different. Let's let his belly get settled first.

So this is the poop in Gomez's litter box this morning. Jami managed to get 1 syringe of water into him before bed. He was drinking a little when she put him in the tub to play yesterday evening. Also gave him another ounce of soupie after he had 2 Oz for dinner. We put some additional bone meal as suggested by another member. So this morning 2oz soupie 1/4 Oz of small beef chunks. He is still up and about running around the house. Chasing Jax and even wrestling with him. Any suggestions or ideas about these funky poops??! We are both concerned and just want to make sure nothing is going on that's serious. Thanks Jami & Scarlett
