Did they finish their dinner overnight? Well, update they did not eat dinner last night by this morning BUT did eat breakfast, about 3/4 of it. Then Jami took them to the vet at 5 tonight and when they got home ama they played a bit it was 7:45 before they had dinner.....Boys were hungry and again ate 3/4 of dinner. ....yahoooooo Vet said she thinks it is a bruise and has a small puncture. ....I said the same thing. She wants to wait 2 weeks and seed of it goes away or is smaller. If not then we go back to have her aspirate under a little gas. What do you think? How are you feeling are you back to work with the kids? Gina here is the vet visit from Thursday.

How is Gomez's bump now? I really couldn't tell anything from the picture you posted. Was there a puncture at the site? That could be from playing rough with Jax. I think giving it a little time to heal on its own is a good plan, but puncture wounds can cause an abscess so if it seems to be growing, you might want to take him back in. It seems that the boys are showing a pattern of eating more in the mornings than in the evenings. Why don't you cut back on their nighttime meals so you don't have so much waste. If they start eating everything through the night, then increase it again a little at a time. I try to aim for 1 or 2 bites of leftover at every meal. That way I know that they've had enough to eat and I have minimal waste. I'm confused as far as mixing the leftovers. Do you mean leftovers that you've served but they didn't finish so you put it in the fridge? Or is this fresh meat that you've used all from the package except an ounce or so? If it's already been served but not finished, why is it going back in the fridge? Leave it with them to finish during the day. If they haven't eaten it by the time for the next meal, IF it's still in the 'safe zone' make them finish it before giving them something fresh. (By mixing it with something they might prefer, they're learning to manipulate you and get a 'better' food. My Slinkee-brat is a master at this.) If it's outside the 'safe zone', toss it and cut back on their amounts. If this is fresh meat that you just didn't use all of, freeze it for their next meal of that protein. That said, it is ok to mix proteins but it's not ideal. If they're mixed, there's no guarantee that they will both get both of the proteins. For example, Gomez really likes beef. If you mix beef and chicken, Gomez theoretically could pick out all the beef pieces and leave all the chicken for Jax and then neither of them gets all the variety they should. Does all that make sense? I feel like I'm not explaining myself very well today.

We are in the same church but different pews....lol To clear confusion we never would feed old food to the boys. They are doing ok like every other day eating everything but then the next like 1/4-1/2 of their food.

Well, I didn't think so, but then I overthought the question and wasn't sure, lol. Those chunks look pretty good sized! What is that? Are both boys eating the same thing now? How's the weather up there? We're expecting a pretty good snowfall for our area this weekend.

Morning, we have been slowly increasing the size, very slowly since they take a step backwards with any change, lol. The size is about the size of my ring finger nail. We are being missed by this storm, have snow but not from this one....I'll post some pics later. We are doing good how are you feeling? Today is weigh day so hope they have stayed the same or gained. Gomez's bump appears smaller but not much....vet recheck is next Thursday.

Well, pictures are deceiving. I thought their chunks were about the size of a quarter, lol. Still, ring fingernail is better than pinkie nail! I'm glad they're eating the same menu now. That will make life much simpler for you.
How are they doing with the smashed bones?

The storm hit here a few hours earlier than expected. We really didn't expect the snow to stick because it was too warm and had been raining for days so the ground was wet, but once the snow arrived, it only took about 30-40 minutes before the roads started getting treacherous. My husband almost slid off the road on his way home from work and the highway department closed down several highways. We ended up with about 5 inches of accumulation which is a lot for this area in recent years. My daughters are in east TN, near Knoxville. The one who stayed on campus said they got 1-2 inches. The other daughter went to a friend's house an hour off campus and they've already gotten 8-9 inches and it's still snowing heavily. I took 2 of the Furricanes out to play this morning but they thought it was too cold so daddee brought in several shovelfuls to the bathtub for them. Two of them love it, one liked it for 4 minutes, and one preferred to sit in mommee's warm lap and watch. He's the smart one, lol.

Wow this storm has done a number on several states. We have nothing from it at all. Gomez loves the snow and I took him out to play yesterday from snow we had last week. I'll post some pics in a few.

They are doing so so and poops are a bit loose all of a sudden the last 4 days....I think cause less soupie and just doing so so on bones. Don't get me wrong they are eating bones that we smash but maybe it's not enough so tonight we thought we'd sprinkle dome bone meal and mix. Jax does a lot better with bone than Gomez but he's getting it.
