Hi Petra
No hurry, great to read that Loki is on the mend. Yes, if you want to, you can post the values, would be interesting for me to follow.
Yes, I understand, I'd suggest we continue the switch for the others and just let Loki be present for their feedings and let him decide if the wants to participate or not, ok?
Have you tried quail with Signy, Sigmund and Hogar?

I will write values in one table and post them during weekend. I haven't tried quail with SS&H but I can tomorrow evening. What would be the best method, can you suggest some? Maybe I can try to chop small pieces and mix into their evening meal?

I chopped one quail breast into small pieces, offered them from hand. They didn't wanted to eat it. I mixed it into their standard evening meal (chicken/rabbit meat; heart, liver, bone meal powder). I had to feed Signy with spoon while holding her in the position, Sigmund first ate the whole chicken wing tip chopped in three parts (YAY!) and than proceeded to evening surprise meal. I had to help him a bit holding him in position. I had to hold Hogar too and occasionally feed him from spoon, he ate part by himself. I put one piece of quail in Loki's bowl. He ate everything around it, than grab it in mouth and spit it on tray. At least I tried.

Just posting update: SS&H are dealing with quail chunks okay. Loki's conditions took the wrong turn again. For second day in a row, he digs and drinks lot of water, grind his teeth, moans, strains and cries when he goes to poop, shows signs of pain and distress. As of yesterday evening he is on therapy to ease the pain and straining and on antibiotics since today. His appetite is still good and he eats approximately 100-110 grams of puree daily, portioned in four meals.

Sorry to hear Loki doesn't feel that much better... how if he acting? A little bit playful or not at all? He seems to eat well, is his weight stable?
Could you update the weights of all and update me on their weekly menu?

Loki is now stable, investigative but isn't interested in play or some big interaction with me. He is okay with his cagemates, though. He eats well, 40 grams morning, 20 grams afternoon, 30 grams evening, 20 grams night.
Weights: Loki 1.28 kg Hogar 1.63 kg Sigmund 1.85 kg Signy 0.65 kg
Weekly menu: every day morning chicken leg and thy, deboned with skin, chopped into 2x3, 3x4 cm pieces. Part they don't eat is in their cage during day.
mon, wed, fri - blended chicken/rabbit meat, some chicken skin on, liver, heart, bone meal powder, small chopped pieces of quail tues, thurs, sat, sun - blended chicken/rabbit meat, some chicken skin on, liver, heart, bone meal powder
(atm we only have chicken hearts and liver, rabbits will be prepared in 10 days or so).
twice a week in the evening Sigmund gets chicken wings tips (2-3 pieces) with skin and bone and he chews them without a problem
Loki eats blended chicken/rabbit meat, some chicken skin on, liver, heart, bone meal powder and is getting amoxiclavulanic, spasmolitic, sucralfate, ranitidine every 12 hrs and pred every 24 hrs

Next week I am getting quail and rabbit. We are spending last batch of mixed rabbit/chicken meals. And we have no more quail. Yesterday I tried to convince Sigmund to try one rabbit bone but he wasn't much cooperative, chewed it few times while I held him in one, bone in other hand, and spat each and every time. This batch of mixture is with larger pieces, though and all of them except Loki are chewing well when meat is on, when they come accrose a larger piece of heart, Signy spits it out immediately. Little piglet -.-

Be persistent, and insist that they at least try a bigger piece per meal, you do great! Just a heads up, I struggle with my pc, as it is working unstable, in the same time, my mobile phone has a display issue, I hope I don't have both crashing in the next few days! I managed to do a backup of both, so at least not much will be lost In case you don't hear from me before next thursday, I might be offline on both, I'll try to update and fix all today and hope to be running stable again, so I can go through all your updates tomorrow, if not I'll be back lastest on thursday!

Thank you so much for encouragement, I feel like we are standing in one place for a loooong long time now :/ I am scared I will ruin their teeth (Hogar genetically has bad, same as his siblings and dad, Signy too). Loki is still on antibiotics, spasmolitic and ofc sucralfate and methylpred, hepatoprotectives and Ipakitine. His appetite and weight is stable and I am happy for this. He is also energetic and investigative.
Wish you luck with IT issues, they really can be annoying.

I've just seen the rabbit butchering pics on fb! How great, you found a good source of rabbit? Are the pieces on the pictures, the size you usually feed?
How about trying to attempt a weekly frankenprey menu with your crew and not mixing all? And see if and where issues arise?^^

We found two sources, one in Zagorje area (some 130 km there and back) and one in Medjimurje area (some 200 km drive there and back). We usually take about 15 rabbits, most for us, some for friends and immediately chop them and put portioned in freezer. The size on pics is the size we usually feed (Ayasha, Ernest, Zina and Huritt). I am willing to attempt, please, give me some directions

both rabbits and quail are packed. ferrets' freezer is full and we even had to put some meat in ours. this Saturday we are going to get some more rabbits, so we will have rabbit meals for probably four months
