I am so SO sorry that I haven't responded lately. Things have been pretty hectic around here and while there are two of you tow mentor me, lol there is only one of me hehe. My boys are doing good-they are currently eating the almost last bit of their soupie for this week. starting some time this week they will be getting back to the swing of things with slivers. I've even been dethawing stuff, slivering it up and refreezing right away so that I can just defrost and go. I don't know if you know this or not @sveta but I am in school and I work full time on top of the crazy swing of life and so sometimes I don't really have the time to sit down and hand feed the boys, which I know is what is bad for them. Here is a look at what my weekly schedule is like. Just an example of this week.
Monday: No school. It's raining outside so it is REALLY hard to get out of bed. Put that chilly, wet weather with my narcolepsy and I was basically held hostage by my bed, and covers and my pillows called out a ransom. As a result, the boys food didn't dethaw in time for me to literally crawl out of bed and walk out the door to work, so I whisked up some egg, apologized to my little stinkers and went to work. Work was from 1pm-6:30pm and I had church from 7-9:30pm. Now I am home and writing this instead of doing my paper that is due on wednesday morning. UGH. No telling when I'm going to get to bed.
Tuesday: I have class from 8am to 10am and then a meeting with my career counselor at 11am. From there I have to come home, feed the boys and then head to work at 1pm to 9pm. Then I have to come home and finish my paper that is due AND study for a math test that I have on thursday.
Wednesday: I have class from 9:30am-10:30am. I have to meet with my student advisor either before class or after class because it's a no appointment needed day. Just walk in and that usually results in a few hour wait. So annoying, but after that I have to go to work. Supposed to be 1pm-10 or 11pm but not really sure what time I'm going to get there but the point is I won't leave work until at least 10pm.
Thursday: I have a test that starts at 8am and whenever I'm done with that, I can leave. So should be good to go around 9am. If I get out in enough time I will get to go to my student advisor this day (because I highly doubt I will be able to make it there on wednesday without feeling completely guilty about being so late to work) and then I work from 10:30am til 9pm.
Friday: I work from 1pm to 9pm (or sometimes earlier depending how late I stay wednesday night).
Sat and Sun I don't work but I do have church one of those days. In between everything I have to feed the boys twice a day and keep my house going and do laundry and cook etc. So, with that being said, again I apologize but this is just this weeks schedule. I can barely find time to shower and read a book my professor lent me (in fact I've had it for almost a month and I've only been able to read the first three pages..) let alone do the raw hand feeding.
I do the best I can with such a crazy schedule without going completely bonkers myself. Also, I will try to upload the videos, but I mostly upload the videos directly from my phone so I don't think to go back and check. I can just repost the link to the ferret folder that has all the stuff. That will be easier for me, I think.

Back to the weekly report card: I weighed them last night, just ended up passing out before I could post them.
1. Ferret's name: Shinchi
2. Ferret's weight: 2lbs 1.4oz
3. Ferret has eaten "2-2.5oz" amount on average per meal.
4. Stools on various proteins. Normal for soupie poops.
5. Activity levels: He is doing much better. He only has 3 days left of his pred (every other day now) and he is halfway through his antibiotic. I'm half tempted to stop the antibiotic because he's not having any trouble any more and is acting completely normal again. No coughing at all.
6. Weekly menu: Chicken, boston pork, beef soupie and chicken hearts mixed in. Finally got a coffee grinder for the egg shells. It made it into a really fine powder so I'm hoping they are able to firm up their poops more now.
1. Ferret's name: Poco
2. Ferret's weight: 2lbs 4.3oz
3. Ferret has eaten "2-2.5oz" amount on average per meal.
4. Stools on various proteins. very normal for soupie poop.
5. Activity levels: Normal for him. He's mad at me because I've been go go go go and my apartment is pretty wrecked right now that I've only been able to let them out for about 30 minutes to an hour a day recently.
6. Weekly menu: Same as Shinchi
I've tried letting them have free roam before and they just refuse to use the litter boxes. Ugh. I live in an apartment and puppy pads are very expensive, however, I'm thinking about getting some of the ones that are washable. I can soak the poo off and wash the urine and only put them down when they have over night free roam. Right now though, there are tons of empty soda cans EVERYWHERE because we had a party on halloween and NO one threw away their cans. UGH. I just don't have it in me to clean because I. AM. SO. TIRED. and I still have homework.
*cries silently in the corner*
So needless to say, the boys are pretty anxious to come out. I let them out earlier and within 20 minutes Shinchi had climbed onto my kitchen table because whats up there (alcohol) is better than whats in the floor (not alcohol). Usually when that happens, there is no persuading him to do anything else so I have no choice but to put him in the cage and Poco along with him because if they aren't together Shinchi will get angry and poop on my walls again..
Someone please explain to me why I don't just switch back to kibble and save myself the heart ache!?! ( I know why, but someone say it for me so that I don't run screaming into the other room..)
