Yeah, it does sound weird, but that's how it ended up being the right weight that I was going for. And I just give her the 1/4 quail and she goes to town on it as a whole piece. Now the rabbit is crushed up because I was worried about the bones being too hard. I looked at it like this, if I can break the bones with my bare hands, then surly she can break them. And I don't have alot of strength in my wrist and hands due to carpal tunnel being really bad, so I don't have alot of strength. The quail bones are like toothpicks and she enjoys it being whole.

Sheesh, when she decided to go raw, she went all the way. She should be able to eat rabbit bones with very little trouble. My little girl chomps through chicken thigh bones like they're nothing. She may need to build up her jaw muscles a little, but try her with a whole rabbit bone and see how she does. If she can't get through it right now, break it up but increase the size of the pieces each time you serve it. Give the little brat a smooch for me and tell her thanks for making the switch easier for you.

Yeah, she is my sweet baby girl when she wants to be. And I have needed it with the past week or so that I have had. It's been nice that she finally gave up the fight and stopped messing up her cage on a daily basis. Normally, bath time would be a great punishment for rolling around in your poo and pee, but it's fun for her. She loves to play in the tub. I'm just happy that she has been behaving herself. Occasionally, she protests against the food, but hunger beats out being a stubborn little brat any day.

How is she doing with hearts and organs?

She does fine with hearts and not so much with the gizzards and organs. I try to make it easier by adding egg with those meals since she loves the eggs and it's impossible for her to pick the egg out so she eats almost all of her organs. Although, I wish there was an alternative for liver. That's the most grotesque and horrible smelling stuff ever. And it's nearly impossible to try to cut because it just squished up. Yucky! I really can't blame her for needing a chasers for that stuff.

Try blending her organs into a soup. See if she likes them better that way.

So wisp's cut back on her eating over the past couple of days. She is getting 1 oz in the morning and 2 oz in the afternoon. I have some thawed chicken breast just in case she wants a quick snack during the day. She protest against organs but the quail eggs do the trick. I think she just doesn't find them palatable. If they taste as awful as they look, I can't say that I blame her. Never in my wildest dreams, I would have touched meat and definitely not organs, but wisp deserves to be as healthy as I do. And I found a compromise. In order for me to at least not feel as badly about the meat, I only get organic kosher or halal meat (which is why pork is out of the question) At least then, I know the animal lived as an animal and was killed with dignity. That's just my way of coping.

3 oz per day is a good amount for a wee little girl. Have you tried the extra proteins with her yet - the turkey and lamb? Once we know that she eats everything you have planned for her, I'll post your exam and get you graduated.

I haven't tried any other proteins yet. Don't really have the money to spare right now. Gearing up for the trip to NYC next week. We will be gone from Wed to Sat, so I am just grateful for her making it this far right now. She has her finicky moments, but I have remained firm and she eats her food before her next meal. That's why I cut her first meal down to 1 oz because she wasn't eating all of it. But since she has to go all night, she gets her 2 oz to last the night and into the morning. She's doing great with that and eating all of her meat. So happy.

OMG! OMG! Wisp is eating her liver, heart, and intestines whole WITHOUT having to be coated with egg! She isn't diving in, but she is eating it! So proud of my little girl.

Aww, such a cute tummy! I'm so glad she has stopped giving you hassles over her food.
Just to clarify, she's eating heart, organs, bones, gizzards of chicken, quail, and rabbit. Is that correct?

Yes. She is eating everything that I have given her with minimal fuss. I might have some access to some deer organs so that might be added to the menu. She is doing so great. She had her organs for dinner last night and has eaten almost all of her quail. I did swap it up to having muscle meat tonight instead of organs again. Didn't realize that I basically had the weekend menu the same.

Be careful with the organs. Liver has a lot of vitamin A. They can't eliminate that if they get too much and it can build up and become toxic.

She only gets one meal that's 1/2 liver and another that's 1/4 liver. That's 1 1/2 organ meals and half of her organ content is liver. That's what it's supposed to be, right? The only other actual organ I have is the beef intestines so that makes up her organ meals. Does the intestines have alot of vitamin a?
