That looks like the right Carnivore Care, it even has the silhouette of a ferret on the packaging. I also have a package of this stashed away in case of emergencies.

Hi so Gomez did good with Meg our pet sitter who knew all our babies. She did have to hand feed and her mom did too. Her mom had ferrets as a kid, Meg's own daughters love to come visit to see Gomez. Still not waring the wing tip but is interested. OMG we are so pysched....Gomez's fur is really changing, like ivernight, thick for winter and super soft, shiny, AND the color is changing like we have read will happen on raw.

Poncesmom, Heather, Machan, have a question....I see all the comments and posts on not using essential oils, incense etc and I get it but then why can we use Rescue Remedy? I know it is in the Bach Flower Remedies but just curious as to why we can use it on our ferrets then how much is ok? I have done herbology for years and have used rescue remedy on my dogs. Are ther other flower remedies we can use? Thanks

Awwww, cute pics! Essential oils are very concentrated and oils Usually preparations on oil basis are harder to eliminate from the body... Bach flowers aren't oils, they are very diluted extracts of plants. Sent from my SM-G900F using proboards

I'll make sure you aren't getting neglected. Bach's Rescue Remedy is great. I keep a bottle in my ferret emergency kit. Just put a few drops in their water and you can put a drop or two right in their mouth. You asked about the carnivore care. The one you have is the right one. It should have come from the vet. I believe it needs a prescription. As for flower remedies, is there something specific you want to use it for? Look under the Holistic board and there is alot of information there as to what to use and what to avoid.

Hey I have rescue as we had it for our dog and I have used it for years on animals and humans. The carnivore I ordered on Amazon and did not need a rx. Good for you working part time, hope you like it....what are you doing? Was just wondering about other remedies from Bach was all, I'll go check the files. OMG Gomez's fur is so so silky, all of a sudden too and it is lighting up like others have said.....I remember reading something Heather posted somewhere recently about when you switch they will lighten up. Go look at the photos I posted earlier this week.

Morning, today was the most difficult feeding thus far with Gomez. He's been doing great and eating small chunks with soupie. BUT today we want nothing to do with the chunks, spit all of them out and then finally ate some. Have tried 3 wing tips this past week and he naws on it but will not eat it. We have also been trying to get him to eat on his own, nope!!! He will eat sometimes off his plate so.long as we are there with him but not on his own in his condo or feed box. How long will this part go on? What if he never eats on his own? What are we doing wrong? He is playing right now and I put the leftovers and tip in his condo so he can go find it but he's running all over war dancing, little bugger

You will have days where they seem to take a step backwards. Just like us, sometimes they aren't hungry or decide they don't like a food they use to really like. Keep moving along and Gomez will follow.
Gomez is enjoying the attention from hand feeding and coaxing. Why eat on your own when you can have company? I find that sometimes mine will wait for 'permission' to eat. I'll put a plate down and they all stand there and look at me. So I hand them each a piece and then wait for them to eat it and then stay there for a second and then walk away.
His energy levels are great, so he is eating. He may also eat at night but you don't see it. You can count the slivers and see if any are gone in the morning. Try smashing up the wing tips a bit more and for just two nights, just put the wings tips in and see if he decides he is hungry enough to eat them. He's young and healthy and if he refuses to eat them, then he will eat a better breakfast.
